Chanel Haynes

Chanel Haynes developed her unique vocal gifts in the rich musical culture of New Orleans in the deep South. Discovered by Quincy Jones while she was still a teenager, Chanel became a founding member of the gospel trio, Trinitee 5:7. As lead singer of the group, Chanel sold over 2.5 million albums worldwide and earned two Grammy nominations. The trio spent nearly two decades entertaining audiences around the world in arenas ranging from Madison Square Garden to Wembley Stadium. Her first album went Platinum and spent 50 weeks on Billboard’s top R&B albums chart, while both of her first two albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Gospel chart. Chanel has shared the stage with Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, and Tina Turner at the 50th-Anniversary Grammy Awards show. Chanel’s musical theatre debut was in 2014 at the Zach Theatre in Austin, Texas, where, in 2018, she won Best Leading Actress in a musical for her role as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. Chanel’s home base is in San Francisco, California, where she lives with her husband, Dr. Gregory Schwartz, and their two sons.
She made West End Debut playing the life of Tina Turner who has been a huge inspiration for her.
