Long Island powerhouse Phyllis March is giving one of the best performances of her brilliant theatrical career in Theatre Three's splendid production of Alfred Uhry's 'Driving Miss Daisy.' Ms. March, along with her devoted driver Hoke, played by the suave Antoine Jones, take you on the ride of a lifetime exploring bold companionship, racial undertones, and the inevitable growing older in the 1988 Pulitzer Prize winning play.

Driving Miss Daisy is the moving, yet humorous, story of the 25-year relationship between Daisy Werthan, a well-to-do Jewish widow in postwar Atlanta, and her African-American chauffeur, the retired Hoke Coleburn. As the play progresses from 1948 to 1973, we see how these two very different people become each other's closest companion and confidants. Take a ride down memory lane in this delicate depiction of simmering racial tensions, changing times, and the transformative power of understanding. Get ready to experience the magic that made Driving Miss Daisy a Pulitzer Prize-winning hit and an Academy Award-winning film.

Continuing a stellar 49th season, Port Jefferson's Theatre Three offers a wonderful incarnation of Yasmina Reza's play Art. A Tony winner for Best Play in 1998, this production is strongly directed by Long Island theatre vet Linda May and boasts a wonderful cast of Theatre Three regulars.

Theatre Three's 34th annual production of the iconic Charles Dickens story A Christmas Carol has certainly become a beautiful tradition on Long Island. Even with slight changes throughout the years, this ageless production is as spectacular as ever. Jeffrey Sanzel, the Artistic Director of the Port Jefferson venue, directs the dazzling play running through December 30th.

Celebrate the season with Long Island's own holiday tradition. Follow the miser Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey that teaches him the true meaning of Christmas past, present and future. THEATRE THREE's 2016 production was winner of the BroadwayWorld.com award for Best Play. As described by Newsday: There could scarcely be a finer tribute to Dickens' legend than A Christmas Carol at THEATRE THREE chosen as its Number One Holiday Theatrical Event join them for their 34th annual production of the immortal classic in all of its thrills, music, joy, and spirit.

This year, Public Works presents Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT in a ravishing new musical adaptation by Director of Public Works Laurie Woolery, and Shaina Taub, featuring music and lyrics by Taub, the acclaimed singer/songwriter behind last season's adaptation of Twelfth Night, and choreography by Emmy nominee and Lortel Award winner Sonya Tayeh. Two hundred community members and professional actors perform together on the Delacorte stage in this immersive dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families, and lovers in disguise.
