Artistic Directors Pam Goldberg and Blair McMillen present the 12th Season of the Rite of Summer Music Festival, taking place Summer 2023 on Governors Island, New York City. Rite of Summer will present six FREE outdoor concerts from June through August.

Rite of Summer Music Festival continues its eleventh stellar season with violinist Curtis Stewart performing two free shows on Saturday, July 16th at 1pm and 3pm.

Pam Goldberg and Blair McMillen will present the 11th Season of the Rite of Summer Music Festival, taking place Summer 2022 on Governors Island, New York City. Rite of Summer will present four free outdoor concerts from May through September.

On March 31 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall in association with Music Kitchen–Food for the Soul w ill present Forgotten Voices, a composite song cycle written by top emerging and established composers with text created by homeless-shelter participants set to music.

The Town Hall and the PREformances Chamber Music Collaborative have teamed up to bring Verdi’s Otello, virtually, to audiences at home as part of The Town Hall’s new Opera at Home series. The virtual series, beginning November 18 at 8pm, presents operas in under an hour, sung by a diverse group of singers.

Rite of Summer Music Festival's 2020 Season has been postponed to Summer 2021 as a result of COVID-19 precautions and Federal, State, and Local guidelines. Due to mark its 10th Anniversary this summer on Governors Island, Rite of Summer Music Festival will celebrate this milestone with special extended festivities next year. Host and series founder, soprano Allison Charney, hosted the afternoon with disarming charm and a profound love of classical music that cleverly masked her creativity in infusing the expertly-performed concert with lessons in music history, theory and practice - along with her signature 'un-Google-able' insights.

Violinist Miranda Cuckson makes her series debut at PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY's matinee concert - CHAMBER MUSIC CELEBRATION - this Thursday, January 30th @2pm at New York City's acoustical gem, Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Cuckson will play Dave Soldier's 'Hammer and Anvil' for solo violin. Cellist Sophie Shao joins Cuckson for Iannis Xenakis' 'Dhipli Zyia' and violist Daniel Panner will round out the group for Zoltán Kodaly's 'Intermezzo for String Trio' and the finale of Beethoven's 'String Trio, op. 3'.

Preformances With Allison Charney Will Present 'Kaddish' - the final movement of Ghost Brothers, the new song cycle composed by Marianna Rosett, with lyrics by Brooke Bailey Johnson - that examines the often-underlooked plight of the children of Holocaust survivors, as they navigate life surrounded by the ghosts of siblings they never knew.
