Get ready for a hilarious comedy as Metro Theatre presents 'The Catering Queen' by Alison Lawrence. Opening on October 28, 2023, and previewing on October 27th, this side-splitting play takes you behind the scenes of a company Christmas Party catered by a lively staff.

After almost one full year of limited operations due to COVID-19, Raleigh Little Theatre presses forward and announces its plans for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. The theatre will utilize its outdoor performance venue, the Louise “Scottie” Stephenson Amphitheatre, to safely welcome back audiences in the spring and summer for a mix of family and adult programming and special events. 

With over half a million dollars raised to date, Raleigh Little Theatre's a?oeDivas!a?? fundraiser returns, presented for the first time ever in a virtual format. a?oeDivas! 2020a?? will broadcast live on August 6 on Facebook and YouTube and is directed by Alison Lawrence. The cabaret fundraiser consists of both live and pre-recorded footage of eight competing a?oeDivasa?? and one mysterious a?oeMasked Diva,a?? all performing for the chance to win the coveted a?oeDivasa?? crown!

Join V-Day as they create an ARTISTIC UPRISING, a RADICAL act, and an ACT OF RESISTANCE for the 20th Anniversary of V-Day and The Vagina Monologues! V-Day Raleigh will rise, resist, and unite with Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues! 90% of the proceeds will benefit InterAct of Wake County and the remaining 10% will go towards the international V-Day campaign. The 2019 staged reading will be directed by Yvonne Anderson.

Based on Emile Ardolino's 1992 film of the same name, Sister Act follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier as she is put in protective custody after witnessing a murder. Not only that, but she is hidden in the one place that the cops are sure she won't be found, a convent. While struggling through the restrictions of her new lifestyle, Deloris uses her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, but in doing so, she jeopardizes her cover.

IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU opened on Broadway in 2015, after a 2011 run at The George Street Theater Playhouse in New Jersey, where it was the highest-grossing production in the theater's 40-year history. And that's because although the musical rom-com is somewhat hokey and formulaic, it is also very funny. TIP's cast effortlessly sing their way through Barbara Anselmi and Brian Hargrove's catchy and cheery score. But it's the standout comedic performances that make TIP's production work. Ultimately, IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU is about family and the craziness that ensues when you bring two families from different backgrounds together through wedded bliss. And judging by the glowing response of the audience opening night, TIP's walk down the aisle is sure to be the social event of its season.

With over $150,000 raised to date, Divas! returns this year as the most profitable fundraiser for Raleigh Little Theatre. The Divas show is a mix of singing, dancing, fun, glam and, of course, Diva-esque attitudes. The show consists of performances of cabaret and show tunes by 11 entrants, with the performer who raises the most money winning the coveted title of Diva 2012.
