Trans Voices Cabaret, NYC's premier cabaret featuring transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming seasoned performers and rising stars in NYC's musical theater community, returns to The Duplex for their first show of 2022 on Saturday, March 26th at 9:30pm. Trans Voices Cabaret has been performing regularly since its inception in 2017, and also has chapters in Chicago and London.

To launch its 93rd season, the St. Bart's Players will present a staged, 'concert version' of the Tony Award-winning, and rarely performed, City of Angels. With a bluesy, jazzy score by Cy Coleman, lyrics by David Zippel and a book by Larry Gelbart, City of Angels is a smart and stylish film-noir musical that captures the gritty sights and sounds of Hollywood's classic detective movies.

This December, Gallery Players will present the third production of its 53rd season, Little Women: The Broadway Musical; book by Allan Knee; music by Jason Howland; lyrics by Mindi Dickstein; based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott.

Bravo's Emmy-winning competition series “Project Runway” returns for another season of high stakes and fierce fashions on Thursday, December 5 at 9:30pm ET/PT. Sixteen new hopefuls are ready to take the runway by storm and make fashion history. Host Karlie Kloss is back, along with Christian Siriano as the mentor and returning judges Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell, and Elaine Welteroth, to decide who has what it takes to make it in this industry. Each 90-minute episode will feature the return of some fan-favorite elements, including the “Siriano Save,” in which Christian has the opportunity to bring one eliminated designer back into the competition, and the pièce de résistance, a chance to present a final collection at New York Fashion Week. Gotham remains a main character for this fashion adventure for challenge reveals and runway shows with iconic locations such as the famous TWA Hotel at JFK, The Vessel at Hudson Yards, and Bergdorf Goodman. In addition, the groundbreaking series continues to shine a light on the evolution of fashion and inclusion by featuring a variety of sexual preferences, racial backgrounds and ages including a nonbinary model and a trans model, a “Dreamer,” and the oldest designer ever to compete on “Project Runway.” Challenging fashion norms, the designers are tasked with creating functional outfits for Olympians and Paralympians, as well as turning donated garments from Goodwill of NY into high fashion wear.

As the one on the run as a nun, Khadijah Rolle is the class act around which SISTER ACT revolves. (The musical, based on the popular 1992 film featuring Whoopi Goldberg, is Arizona Broadway Theatre's current production, directed by Stephen Casey.) Full of verve with a powerhouse voice to match, Rolle brings a more balanced and less flamboyant interpretation to her role than audiences may be used to...and it's just right.

Based on classic stories by Rudyard Kipling like 'How the Elephant Got His Trunk' and 'How the Camel Got His Hump', The Just So Stories combine fun storytelling with lively action and colorful characters. Nine students from Main Street Theater's Education Department will bring these marvelous tales to life through the characters of Kipling's spirited daughter and her friends. The stories were adapted for the stage by Joseph Robinette. There are 3 public performances: Today and Saturday, December 12 and 13, at 7:30pm, and Sunday, December 14 at 3:30pm. The Off-Broadway play 'The Rajah's Son & Princess Labam' opened on November 7, 2014 to a full house with audience members coming from far and wide - even flying in from Dubai.
