 Ford’s Theatre Society announced that audiences, cast, crew and staff raised $47,268.36 on behalf of For Love of Children during performances of this season’s production of A Christmas Carol. Since 2009, Ford’s has raised more than $950,000 for Washington-area charities, aiding thousands within the D.C. area in the spirit of giving and charity expressed in Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol.

Jefferson Mays' universally celebrated, one man virtuoso, tour-de-force performance in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will be coming to Broadway this holiday season for a strictly limited 66-performance engagement at the Nederlander Theatre.

This festive season European Arts Company returns following a highly successful 2018 run of A Christmas Carol. Inspired by Dickens's own charitable work, the 2019 tour is in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, reflecting the heart-warming message of Scrooge's philanthropic transformation in this perfect Christmas story.

Starting December 13th Elm Street Cultural Arts Village's holiday tradition returns to Downtown Woodstock with the opening night of A Christmas Carol, a joyous and touching musical version of the Charles Dickens classic.  When visited by the ghost of former business partner Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge explores his past, present, and future and learns the true spirit of the season, with the help of three ghosts along the way.

On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis (Mahira Kakkar) receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant (Greg Wood), a successful and charismatic restaurateur. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship with food and wine, only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.

Back by popular demand, one of the most beloved Christmas stories ever written takes on a decidedly New Hope twist when Buck County Playhouse presents the popular comedy, "Ebenezer Scrooge's Big Playhouse Christmas Show," through December 30, 2018. Actors Theatre of Louisville announces Fifth Third Bank's A Christmas Carol, based on the book by Charles Dickens, adapted by Barbara Field and directed by Drew Fracher. Celebrate the warmth of the holidays with Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. A beloved tradition for more than four decades and the nation's second-longest continuously running production of A Christmas Carol, Actors Theatre's rendition of Dickens' classic tale is brought to life with visual splendor and joyous music. A Christmas Carol will play November 20-December 23 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.

The raucous and irreverent holiday tradition Q Brothers Christmas Carol returns to The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, now through December 30, 2018. Created by hip-hop sensations the Q Brothers Collective (GQ, JQ, Jax, and Pos) and developed with Creative Producer Rick Boynton, this wildly popular reinterpretation of the perennial favorite by Charles Dickens is underscored with beats spun live at the turntables, mashing up styles from reggae and dancehall music, to dubstep and epic rock ballads. John Hoogenakker, now featured in Amazon's runaway hit series Jack Ryan, takes on the role of Scrooge for a special limited engagement during the run.

Ford's Theatre Director Paul R. Tetreault announced that acclaimed Washington actor Craig Wallace will return to Ford's to perform the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for the company's holiday production of A Christmas Carol. Performances of the classic Charles Dickens story begin November 15 and continue for a six-and-a-half-week engagement through December 30, 2018. This 'musically high-spirited' and 'infectiously jolly' (The Washington Post) production is adapted by Michael Wilson and directed by Michael Baron.
