The real star of the show is its designed-to-travel, multi-level scenic design by 59 Productions, enhanced by sound designer Sebastian Front and lighting designer Matt Daw, which includes some of the most amazing projections I have ever witnessed that completely transform into the many scenes required, from the shipyard, inside homes, the local beer pub, to an extraordinary church interior that generated gasps from the audience, as well as the appearance of waves crashing on the docks and snow falling. But it is the final scene when the Utopia, the last ship to be built, launches from the soon-to-close shipyard that will take your breath away. It's just a shame it takes almost 3 hours to get to it.

Written by composer, Paul Leschen with book & lyricist Fred Sauter with direction and choreography of Robert Bartley with musical supervision by Deborah Hurwitz. Bedbugs!!! began performances on September 9 and opened on September 14 and was originally set to end it run on October 26, due to popular demand, will now extend its run at the UWS's ArcLight Theatre (152 West 71 Street) through November 2, 2014. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's two-week spring engagement at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater kicked off in an exceptional way on Wednesday, June 11th with Revelations Celebration on the Plaza - a free grand dance workshop, where hundreds of people learned excerpts of Alvin Ailey's signature American masterpiece Revelations; followed by The Ailey Spirit Gala, a one-night-only benefit performance and party with Honorary Chair Vanessa Williams and sponsored by FedEx Corporation. The event's Co-Chairs were Gina F. Adams, Lynne & Anthony M. Carvette, Almaz & Marc Strachan, Dr. Eboni Marshall Turman & Rossie E. Turman III, and Pamela D. Zilly & John H. Schaefer. Gala Vice Chairs wereMichele & Timothy Barakett, Natasha Leibel Levine, M.D. & Harlan Levine, M.D., Leslie & Tom Maheras, and Celia & Henry McGee. The evening helped raise over $1 million for Alvin Ailey's extensive educational programs for young people, including AileyCamp and scholarships to The Ailey School.

Music Theatre Wichita opened its 43rd summer season this week with the first of its five large-scale productions, Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific.

Celtic Woman is currently on its North American Emerald concert tour with nearly 90 performances in 75 cities. Celtic Woman: The Emerald Tour played at Radio City Music Hall on May 21, 2014. Before the show a WNET PBS Station had a meet and greet before the show and Broadwayworld.com was there!
