Goodman Theatre presents the Chicago premiere of Lynn Nottage's Sweat, directed by Ron OJ Parson. An acclaimed Broadway hit and 2017 Pulitzer Prize winner, the production follows a group of friends in a Rust Belt town who have spent their lives sharing secrets and laughs on the factory floor. But when layoffs begin to chip away at their trust, they're pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight in this collision of race, class and friendship at a pivotal moment in America.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced today the casting and creative team for the upcoming production of The Invisible Hand, which begins performances in the Stiemke Studio on February 24. Kidnapped investment banker Nick Bright desperately plays the world financial markets from a cell in Pakistan to pay his own ransom. In demonstrating the ideology of free market capitalism, he profoundly alters his relationship with his captors, and his captors' relationship with the world. The Invisible Hand measures one man's will to survive and its profound affect on global politics.

Grim: A New Musical is the epic story of the Grim Reaper falling in love with Cupid... but she can't be with him as it will lead to his demise. Following its premiere at the International Youth Arts Festival at the Rose Theatre, Kingston, Grim: A New Musical gets its Off West End premiere at Charing Cross Theatre from Monday 4 August - Saturday 30 August. Profiles Theatre continues its 25th Anniversary Season with the Midwest premiere of Gidion's Knot by Johnna Adams, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus and featuring Amy J. Carle and Laura Hooper. The production runs now through March 9, 2014 at The Alley Stage, 4147 N. Broadway. The press opening is tonoight, January 25 at 8:00pm. Fierce Backbone presents a world premiere comedy A GOOD GRIEF written by Leslie Hardy, directed by Jeffrey Wylie, at The Lounge Theatre through December 1. It's another night in Grief Counseling in Room 103, and four strangers are struggling with their own steps in the grieving process. All four are on a major collision course with each other's issues in this dark comedy, whether they like it or not.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Natural Affection by William Inge, the first production of the company's 21st Season. BIG BAD WOLVES, the new thriller from the directors of the acclaimed Israeli horror RABIES, Aharon Keshales and Navot Papsuahdo, will have its World Premiere on April 21st at the Tribeca Film Festival. Coming from Israel, the movie centers on a vigilante cop and a vengeful father that capture and interrogate an accused serial killer who was released due to a police blunder.
