The Broadway Experience returned for a sixth summer program at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center from July 29th - August 11th. With 22 professional educators from the Broadway community, TBE offered over 60 classes, workshops, lectures, and a performance based second week. TBE also launched a new Pre-Professional level for college age students and invited Sierra Boggess as guest speaker. The longest-running show in Broadway history, the Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Group, Inc. production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, reaches an unprecedented milestone today, Wednesday, January 26, 2011, when it celebrated its Twenty-Third Anniversary on Broadway. Playing its 9,566th & 9,567th performances at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), it becomes the first Broadway production ever to have run 23 years.

After much hype and controversy, LOVE NEVER DIES opened last night, 9 March, in London at the Adelphi Theatre. Previews began on 22 February. The production stars Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo and is directed by Jack O'Brien. The show will subsequently open in New York on November 11, 2010 and then in Australia in 2011. The word in London is that the premiere delivered the splashiest opening night party in West End history, with the party venue being turned into Coney Island.
