Hadestown on Stage Videos - Off-Broadway

The upcoming Broadway production of WATER FOR ELEPHANTS has dropped the first original song from the show’s composers, PigPen Theatre Co. The songwriting team of WATER FOR ELEPHANTS performs “Anywhere” in this new music video.  

Anaïs Mitchell, the Tony and Grammy-winning creator of Hadestown, performed with the touring cast at the show’s opening night curtain call. Hadestown had its Toronto premiere at the Royal Alexandra Theatre on July 7, 2023. Toronto performances run through August 20, 2023. Check out the video here!

On this day in 2016, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical HADESTOWN celebrated its off-Broadway opening at New York Theatre Workshop.

Orpheus and Euridice may have been doomed from the start, but Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada have bright Broadway futures ahead. The stars of Broadway's biggest hit and 2019 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Hadestown,  are bringing audiences to their feet every night at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

Hadestown announced today on ABC's “Good Morning America” that the show will launch a National Tour beginning in the Fall of 2020. In its first year, the tour will visit more than 30 cities coast to coast, including (alphabetically) Denver; Houston; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Tempe; and Washington, DC; with more to be announced shortly.

Lucas Steele received a 2017 Tony Award nomination for his performance as the dastardly Anatole in the Broadway spectacle Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. In the wake of the show's closing, the young star has released a short film titled, 'One Last Time' depicting one final trip to Broadway's Imperial Theater.

The Imperial is no stranger to accomplished musicians, but it's no doubt that GREAT COMET has brought a whole new level of musical genius to the stage. The latest in a long line of artistic shenanigans is a cover of the epic Game of Thrones theme song to celebrate the show's return tonight. Check out the video below!

Recording artist Ingrid Michaelson recently took over the role of Sonya in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet and 1812. She teamed up with her predecessor Brittain Ashford to record a harmonized cover of the show's heartbreaking song 'Sonya Alone.'

It takes a village to recreate the giant world of War and Peace in a supper club-style Broadway theatre. Chief of that village is Rachel Chavkin, who earned her first Tony nomination for Best Direction for her ingenious work on Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Okieriete 'Oak' Onaodowan, best known for originating the roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in Hamilton, will join the cast of the new Broadway musical NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 as 'Pierre' beginning July 3, 2017, starring alongside Denée Benton as 'Natasha.'
