This season the new musical New York, New York is bringing the hopes and dreams of young artists to the Broadway stage in a new musical from iconic duo John Kander and Fred Ebb. From their meeting in 1964, Kander and Ebb have forged one of the longest-running and most successful partnerships in Broadway history, crafting beloved hits like Flora, the Red Menace, Cabaret, Zorba, Chicago, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Curtains, The Scottsboro Boys and many more. 

The incomparable Broadway legend Chita Rivera will be appearing at Segerstrom Center for The Arts in her latest concert show The Rhythm of My Life December 11, 2022. This talented lady has been awarded countless awards, including Tonys, a Lifetime Achievement Tony, the Medal of Freedom and a Kennedy Center Honor. I have the pleasure of chatting on the phone with Chita after her long day appearing at Disney World.

Today Broadway celebrates the 95th birthday of John Kander, the Tony-Award winning composer of Chicago. To pay tribute to the legendary composer, the cast and crew of Chicago, with surprise guest Lin-Manuel Miranda, released a special performance of “New York, New York,” Kander & Ebb’s song that became the official anthem of New York City.

The Greek National Opera has announced its 2021 lineup, a tribute programme to the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution of 1821, which is made possible by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

For the 108th Kritzerland show, it's a tribute to one of the most beloved songwriting teams in Broadway history, Kander and Ebb. The music and lyrics of John Kander and Fred Ebb have been delighting people since their Broadway debut, Flora, the Red Menace, which began their long association with Liza Minnelli.

Actress/Producer Tal Fox is about to open in the rarely produced In Trousers at The Lounge. In our conversation she tells us about this and her other theatrical chestnuts. The Town and the City Festival has just added a handful of new acts to its extensive lineup for the two-day music and arts festival in Lowell, Massachusetts on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th, 2019. In addition, Smokehouse Tavern has come onboard to host an evening of music. To keep track of the more than 50 acts at 10 different venues fans will be able to download The Town and the City Festival app. Available for the iPhone and Android, the app will allow fans to view the updated schedule and find information about the performers and the venues.

The Songs of Kander and Ebb after two sold out shows in September. No strangers to Kander and Ebb, Jana appeared in two tours of Zorba and they have both played Sally Bowles in separate productions of Cabaret.

The infectious spirit of living life to its fullest is the message in 'Zorba,' the 1968 musical that starred Herschel Bernardi. Musical Theatre Guild's staged concert version of the musical starred Michael Kostroff in an exuberant display of hedonism that is welcomed after the tragic Borderline shooting in Thousand Oaks and subsequent fires in Southern California communities.

Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will continue their 23rd Anniversary season with Kander and Ebb's haunting musical ZORBA. The one-night-only concert will take place at Glendale's historic Alex Theatre on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

The last time an actor appeared in a Broadway musical playing a role he had previously essayed on film, it was 1983, when Anthony Quinn opened in the revival of ZORBA. Sharing that unusual distinction with him now is Israeli actor Sasson Gabay who has taken over as leading man of this past season's 10-time Tony winning musical, THE BAND'S VISIT.

The musical theatre goddess that is Debbie Gravitte swings by Shetler Studios to tell Rob and Kevin about her amazing career that got started doing Annie Get Your Gun with Gower Champion all the way up to her filling Eydie Gorme's shoes in the 50th Anniversary concert of Golden Rainbow! Following separate sold-out shows of their own, both Robbins and Swindal are no strangers to the Kander and Ebb catalogue. Jana appeared in two tours of Zorba and both Jana and Haley have played 'Sally Bowles' in separate productions of Cabaret. The veteran duo can currently be seen starring together in the smash Off-Broadway show, This One's For The Girls.
