Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Michael Stotts- Managing Director), recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award, begins the new year with the world premiere Unmasked: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and written with Richard Curtis. Unmasked: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber begins performances Thursday, January 30, 2020, and will continue through Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Paper Mill Playhouse (22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ). The students of London School of Performing Arts' Performing Arts Communication major of batch 20, class 2B (hence LSPR PAC 20-2B) will bring the musical SIDE SHOW on August 8th and 9th, 2019, at the AMANI PALLADIUM THEATRE, Bekasi. This musical is part of the 12th LSPR PAC FEST where LSPR PAC students will produce and perform a variety of shows.

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) presents an exhibition dedicated to the work of American artist Roger Brown (1941-1997), examining the ways in which collecting, arrangement, and the theatrical informed and enriched his artistic practice. Roger Brown: Virtual Still Lifes, on view through September 15, 2019, features works made in the final years of the artist's life that combined his passion for collecting with his groundbreaking approach to painting. Marking the first solo museum show in New York devoted to Brown, the exhibition at MAD offers a rare opportunity to view over forty works that trace the artist's evolution through the lens of collection and display.

What makes a Broadway theatre? Technically any venue with 500 seats or more, located along Broadway in New York City's Theatre District is a Broadway theatre, and the art that is produced in these special places is widely considered the highest form of theatrical entertainment in the world. Today, forty-one theatres are technically Broadway houses, each with their own rich history. Below, we're giving you the scoop on the life of every one of them!

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast for the world premiere of Kiss My Aztec! John Leguizamo teams up with Artistic Director Tony Taccone for this musical comedy, following their collaboration on the hit one-man show Latin History for Morons, which received its world premiere at Berkeley Rep before heading to Broadway. Leguizamo will serve as co-writer and co-lyricist only for Kiss My Aztec! - 11 other talented actors will perform in this production. Taccone will also direct.

How do you scale down an epic musical like RAGTIME for a smaller stage and a different time? When it opened at the Shubert Theatre in Century City in 1997, the cast numbered nearly fifty, the same as it would for its Broadway debut later that year. The stage was enormous and the production filled every inch of it. I still remember how the sheer volume of the choral numbers gave me chills.

The 2018-19 Folsom Lake College Speakers Series commences on March 12, 2019 with An Evening with Ron Paul. Dr. Paul ran for President of the United States three times - as the Libertarian Party candidate in 1988 and the Republican Party candidate in 2008 and 2012, at which time he received 190 delegate votes at the Republican Convention. Serving in Congress during the 1970-80s, he served on the House Banking Committee. An unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values, he voluntarily relinquished his House seat in 1984 and returned to his medical practice. He returned to Congress in 1997, serving on the House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs Committees. He is the author of several bestselling books.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce the first show in its fifth season of our TYA Family Series... James and The Giant Peach. With book by Timothy Allen McDonald, music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, based on the book by Roald Dahl, and directed by Darryl B. Macy Medford and Arden Guice may only be college students, but their performances as Violet and Daisy Hilton, the heroines of Side Show - the iconic musical by Bill Russell, Henry Krieger and Bill Condon that debuted on Broadway some 20 years ago - in Belmont University Musical Theatre's production that runs for just one weekend, are nothing less than a professional triumph for each young woman. Thoroughly committed and startlingly focused, Medford and Guice perform an oftentimes tricky, always challenging, task in order that the two young women effectively become their characters, ensuring the musical packs an emotional wallop delivered straight to the collective heart of its audience, while showcasing the evolution of a musical theatre program at the Nashville university, which over the years has gained a national reputation as the training ground of the next generations of Broadway stars yet to be.

BWW REVIEW: SIDE SHOW Opens Theatre Season at Oklahoma City University's Wanda L. Bass School of Music

Berkeley Rep announced today that Obie Award-winning performer Nilaja Sun (No Child…) will return with her tour-de-force solo show Pike St., directed by Ron Russell. Hailed as "Full of vivid life" by the New York Times, this limited engagement will run Saturday, November 17, 2018 through Sunday, December 16, 2018.

Join The Charleston Light Opera Guild this weekend as they perform the hit comedic musical The Full Monty on the Charleston Civic Center Little Theatre Stage! The ten-time Tony nominated show, based on the 1997 British film of the same name, features a book by Terrence McNally and score by David Yazbek.

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.

Rooftop Films launched with a single screening of short films in 1997. While we've since grown tremendously-hosting over 45 events across the city every summer, with live music and after-parties- we continue to showcase new short films and the innovative filmmakers who use the form to experiment, challenge and amaze audiences. This summer, Rooftop Films will present over 100 short films in 13 programs, with each program curated thematically.
