2016 Season Tennessee Williams Theater Fest to be Held in September

2016 marks the centenary of the year Eugene O'Neill began writing ground-breaking plays in Provincetown, considered the birthplace of modern American theater. This year, the 11th Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater (TW Fest) will offer new approaches to staging O'Neill from the perspective of Tennessee Williams' genre-busting dramas.

Bay City Players will present The Best Man, by Gore Vidal, March 4 - 6 & 11 - 13, 2016 at the Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City.   Performance times are 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Gore Vidal's The Best Man a political drama is the current production of the Olathe Civic Theatre Association in Olathe, Kan. The play, which opened on November 7, runs through November 21. John Robinson directs the OCTA production stating in the playbill that it had been 15 years since he had done drama and had sworn he would never do drama again. Perhaps he should have stayed true to that conviction.
