WEEZER Release 'SZNZ: Winter'

Weezer has released the final installment of their year-long SZNZ EP project – SZNZ: Winter. The band released the EP’s first song, “I Want A Dog,” earlier this month, in addition to playing the track on Jimmy Kimmel Live for the last date of their seasonal residency on the show. Weezer Cancels Broadway Residency Due To 'Low Ticket Sales' and 'High Expenses'

Weezer has reportedly cancelled their previously announced Broadway residency that was set for September. The band's singer, Rivers Cuomo, announced the cancellation to fans in his Discord server, which was then shared on Reddit, citing the reason being 'low ticket sales and unbelievably high expenses.'

Not only is OKLAHOMA! celebrated as the inaugural collaboration between theatre icons Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, but it's also credited as the first "book musical," a musical play where the songs and dances are fully integrated into the context of the show. Based on its reputation as an easy-to-produce, family-friendly favorite, OKLAHOMA! is a staple among theatres across the country. This season, the show happens to appear in several local line-ups, and last Thursday I rode my surrey out to Farmer's Branch to catch the final dress rehearsal of Firehouse Theatre's endearing production.
