The Theatre Group at SBCC will present the new comedy BECKY'S NEW CAR by Steven Dietz as the final play in the 2012/2013 season. Directed by Katie Laris, Becky's New Car will run April 24-May 11, 2013 in the intimate Jurkowitz Theatre.

After an acclaimed premiere in San Diego, Wonderlist Productions and Neighborhood Productions presents the New York Premiere of BUREAU OF MISSING PERSONS by award-winning playwright Lila Rose Kaplan. Directed by Sarah Rasmussen, the production begins previews begin June 14 at New York Theatre Workshop's 4th Street Theater. Opening is slated for June 19.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's production of the world premiere of Jesse Eisenberg's The Revisionist, starring Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave, and directed by Kip Fagan, has been extended for three weeks though Sunday, April 21, at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. Several Tony Award-winners are teaming up to bring an adaptation of the 1988 musical "Lucky Stiff" to the screen. The show, based on Michael Butterworth's 1965 novel "The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo," was written by Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty and first performed at New York's Playwright's Horizons where it won the Richard Rogers Production Award before going on to London and hundreds of international productions. Ahrens & Flaherty went on to win the Tony for their musical "Ragtime" as well as two Academy Award nominations. Other notable credits include "Once On This Island" and "Seussical." Ahrens has adapted the play for the screen, while Flaherty and Ahrens have written additional songs.

Producers Victor Syrmis and Carl Rumbaugh, along with Culture Project's World Premiere of In Masks Outrageous and Austere, the final full-length play by Tennessee Williams, ends its limited engagement following the matinee performance today, May 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. The show, which began previews at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) on April 6 and opened on Monday, April 16, will have played 9 preview performance and 28 regular performances.

Performances will now begin on Friday, April 6, 2012 with an Opening Night set for Monday, April 16, 2012 at Culture Project at 45 Bleecker (at Lafayette Street). The production is scheduled to play through May 26, 2012.
