Lincoln Center TheaterLCT3 produces the world premiere of In the Green, a new musical by Grace McLean, directed by Lee Sunday Evans. The production began performances Saturday, June 8 and will run for eight weeks only through Sunday, August 4 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Thursday, June 27. In the Green's cast features Grace McLean, Rachael Duddy, Ashley Perez Flanagan, Mia Pak, and Hannah Whitney.

10 Hairy Legs, the male repertory dance company, will hold its first Live Streaming Event on Friday, May 17 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm to launch The 10HL Choreographic Initiative to raise $100,000 during the coming year. The Initiative will fund our overarching commitment to commissioning 10 choreographers in the next 5 years. The Initiative serves to further demonstrate the company's commitment to the importance of bold and new choreographic voices in the field that challenge and inspire.

Rehearsals have begun for the Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 world premiere of IN THE GREEN, a new musical by Grace McLean, directed by Lee Sunday Evans.  McLean will also be featured in the production, along with Rachael Duddy, Ashley Perez Flanagan, Mia Pak, and Hannah Whitney. 10 Hairy Legs Announces 7th New York Season

10 Hairy Legs, the male repertory dance company, holds its 7th consecutive New York Season with a return to New York Live Arts June 27-29. Presented are World Premieres by Larry Keigwin and Adam Barruch. Barruch's work will have a newly composed score by Roarke Menzies. Larry Keigwin is a native New Yorker and choreographer who has danced his way from the Metropolitan Opera to Broadway and back. He founded KEIGWIN + COMPANY in 2003 and as artistic director, he has led the company as it has performed at The Kennedy Center, The Joyce Theater, The Guggenheim, and New York City Center, among many other venues. Adam Barruch currently creates and performs work under the epithet of his own company, Anatomiae Occultii. In addition, he has also created works for companies such as The Limón Company, Ailey II, Keigwin + Company, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, River North Dance Chicago, BalletX, Whim W'Him Seattle Contemporary Dance, Graham II, GroundWorks Dance Theater, Gina Gibney Dance Company and Minnesota Dance Theatre, as well as for dance icons Margie Gillis and Miki Orihara.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns to The Joyce Theater April 2–14, 2019 with The EVE Project, the Company's season theme celebrating female empowerment and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Purcell's DIDO AND AENEAS, written in about 1689 with a libretto by Nahum Tate, doesn't exist in a final version approved by the composer but, well, never mind. In the care of the more-than-budding artists of the Juilliard415 historical music ensemble and singers from Juilliard's Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts, all was well.

Juilliard Opera Presents Henry Purcell's DIDO AND AENEAS

Juilliard's Ellen and James S. Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Zeger, continues its opera season with Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, with additional selections by Purcell. The performances will be directed by Mary Birnbaum and choreographed by Claudia Schreier, and will feature Juilliard singers and period-instrument ensemble Juilliard415 conducted by Avi Stein. They will take place on Wednesday, February 20, and Friday, February 22, 2019, at 7:30pm, and Sunday, February 24, 2019, at 2pm in Juilliard's Rosemary and Meredith Willson Theater.

10 Hairy Legs Choreographic Commissions Search Yields Overwhelming Response

10 Hairy Legs, the male repertory dance company, received 100+ responses to its call to choreographers to create new works for the company. Submissions included candidates from across the United States, Europe, Puerto Rico and India. 44% of the submissions were from women. Candidates were asked to submit a vision for the work in 10 words or less and a video that best represents their aesthetic.
