Arlekin Players has announced the Boston Premiere of The Orchard, featuring Jessica Hecht and Mikhail Baryshnikov, following rave reviews and sold out performances Off-Broadway in New York. Groundswell Theatricals, in association with Cherry Orchard Festival and ShowOne Productions, presents Arlekin Players | (zero-G) Lab's production of this piece, Golyak's new adaptation of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov as translated by Carol Rocamora. 

To be clear, there is absolutely nothing about this production that is dull, dated, or dusty. The joint is most certainly jumpin’ for an evening full of rowdy, raunchy and humorous songs that capture the love longing and zest for life in the 1920’s/’30s.

Due to a limited number of Covid cases within the company, The Orchard, conceived, adapted, and directed by Ukrainian born theater director Igor Golyak, will begin previews on June 7, instead of the previously scheduled May 31. Opening night remains unchanged, and is still scheduled for June 16 for a limited run through July 3.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3’s production of AT THE WEDDING, a new play by Bryna Turner, directed by Jenna Worsham, returns tonight after a brief hiatus. The production will play an extended week of performances beginning tonight, Wednesday, May 18 at 7pm and run through this Sunday, May 23 at 7pm at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). 

David Geffen School of Drama at Yale is pleased to announce its inaugural Design Showcase in New York City. The Design Showcase will introduce scenic, costume, lighting, sound, and projection designers from the classes of 2020 and 2022 on May 19 and 20 at The Public Theater Studios (440 Lafayette Street).

3AM Theatre, an innovative physical theatre company led by former Martha Graham Dance Company soloist Andrea Murillo and circus artists and alumnus of the prestigious Ecole Nationale de Cirque and Cirque du Soleil Kyle Driggs, will present their evening-length production EVENTIDE as part of the FringeArts' 2021 Hand To Hand Circus Festival in Philadelphia.

YALE SCHOOL OF DRAMA introduces the 2020 Class of scenic, costume, lighting, sound, and projection designers, who matriculated this week.
