Leicester’s Curve, Theatre Royal Bath Productions and Mayflower Theatre Southampton have announced the company of talented actor-musicians joining their new UK tour of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical.

The Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Billy Elliot, will receive a brand-new production at Curve Leicester in summer 2022. 

From Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 March Leicester's Curve theatre will present its annual New Work Festival, celebrating talent from across the Midlands. Over the course of four days, over 30 artists and arts organisations will showcase new plays, musicals, dance and spoken word pieces.

Peter Andre will make his West End debut playing the role of Vince Fontaine at certain performances in a new production of Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey's iconic musical GREASE opening at the Dominion Theatre on Tuesday 17 May 2022, with previews from Tuesday 3 May 2022. GREASE is directed by Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Arlene Phillips.

A brand new production of the award-winning West End and Broadway show, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, visits Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday 29 March to Saturday 2 April. This new tour is co-produced by Curve, Leicester, Theatre Royal Bath Productions and Mayflower Theatre Southampton.

Ria Jones is known for her roles in musicals, most recently Sunset Boulevard at Leicester Curve and Gypsy at Royal Exchange, Manchester. She now makes her straight play debut in the Menier Chocolate Factory’s revival of Alan Bennett’s Habeas Corpus. We spoke with Jones about the show.

Made at Curve's production of Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS will return in 2022. The much-loved stage adaptation of the timeless classic will embark on a brand-new UK tour for the festive season, opening on Tuesday 22 November 2022 at Nottingham Theatre Royal, before visiting the Sunderland Empire and Liverpool Empire. Full casting will be announced in due course.

Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey's iconic musical GREASE will return to the Dominion Theatre in London's West End, with new staging and choreography, opening on Tuesday 10 May 2022, with previews from Tuesday 3 May 2022.

Curve theatre will present its Christmas musical A Chorus Line, featuring world famous dancer Adam Cooper and West End and Curve favourite Carly Mercedes Dyer. A smash-hit Broadway masterpiece, A Chorus Line will run at Curve from 3 to 31 December.

Leicester’s Curve theatre has launched a three-week fundraising appeal to support the development of young theatre technicians as part of The Andy Nairn Bursaries in Technical Theatre.

WHITE CHRISTMAS opened on Thursday 28 October at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking, and is set to visit The Bristol Hippdrome, Canterbury Marlowe, Manchester Palace Theatre, Plymouth Theatre Royal and Edinburgh Playhouse. 

Originally scheduled as Curve’s annual New Work Festival, the team adjusted plans in response to feedback from local creatives who requested more time to develop their work, rather than a platform to present performances.

The show also stars Dan Burton as 'Phil Davis', Matthew Jeans as 'Bob Wallace', Jessica Daley as 'Betty Haynes', Emily Langham as 'Judy Haynes' and Duncan Smith as 'General Waverly'.
