Theatre for a New Audience founding artistic director Jeffrey Horowitz, having just received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 OBIEs, today announces TFANA's 40th anniversary season. The 2019-2020 programming exemplifies what makes TFANA, in the words of the OBIE committee, one of the city's most vital institutions championing adventurous and urgent productions of Shakespeare alongside other writers.

After a sell-out success in 2018, the Italian Theatre Festival returns to The Coronet Theatre to celebrate some of Italy's most distinguished writers and performers. 

The first edition of the Italian Theatre Festival concludes with a work-in-progress performed by Complicite's co-founder Marcello Magni. Created by Magni himself with Gilles Aufrey and Oliver Barwell-Aufrey, But Why? Ma Perche consists of small profound sketches told and improvised on stage.

On the 30th and 31st August, Print Room at the Coronet will present the Italian Theatre Festival in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute in London, sponsored by Ersel, and curated by Monica Capuani.

On June 17, between 11am and 1.00pm, London's newest theatre is hosting an open morning for residents and community groups in the area.  The Playground Theatre, which is set to become the only theatre in North Kensington, will open its doors to offer a sneak preview of what will be on offer when the first production is staged there this autumn. With family friendly entertainment as part of the morning, this is an opportunity to see the facilities, experience the auditorium, soak up the atmosphere and sample the sumptuous cafe at Latimer Road and Ladbroke Grove's new venue.
