Shakespeare's Globe has announced the Summer Season 2022 full of pomp, pageantry, politics, and power.

The Almeida Theatre announces a new season for spring 2022! New dates for both “Daddy” by Jeremy O. Harris and The House of Shades by Beth Steel have been announced, following the postponement of their initial runs at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shakespeare's Globe is preparing to reopen its outdoor theatre on 19 May 2021. Provided the conditions are met for Step 3 of the Government's roadmap for cultural reopening, the Globe will be welcoming audiences in for socially distanced performances, having closed on 18 March 2020.

As part of BBC Arts' Culture in Quarantine initiative (partnering with Headlong and Century Films), 14 plays were filmed and produced during lockdown to reflect the diversity of experiences and emotions that are being felt across the world. Episode 4 begins with Deborah Bruce's Kat and Zaccy, which looks at how family loyalties are tested as children with divorced parents must choose where they stay during the lockdown. ALL ARTS will premiere House Seats: In Conversation with Peter Brook, an interview of the legendary artist by the Tony Award-nominated playwright (Choir Boy) and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), in primetime on Sunday, February 23, at 8pm. ALL ARTS recorded the conversation at Polonsky Shakespeare Center following a performance of Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne's Why?, whose American Premiere Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA) presented as part of Peter Brook/NY, a citywide recognition of Brook and Estienne's work in theatre, opera, film, television, literature, and the development of the next generation of theatre artists.
