Jazz singer Linda Purl and The Tedd Firth Trio will play the newly rennovated Green Room 42 in honor of their new album THIS COULD BE THE START.

Each episode features never-before-seen commentary from some of the biggest names in fashion and culture, with contributors including Emily Bierman, Tim Blanks, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Rocco Laspata, Suzy Menkes, Isaac Mizrahi, Michael Musto, François Nars, Donatella Versace and Vivienne Westwood. Dramatists Guild Foundation has announced that Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and Media Producer, Educator and Philanthropist Leonard Majzlin will be honored for their creative contributions, educational mentorship, and continued dedication to the American theater at the organization's annual Gala on October 23, 2023, at Ziegfeld Ballroom. 

It is an exciting thing to see an artist grow, evolve, change, and the musical marriage between the two friends and colleagues that are Linda and Tedd has been a wonderful witness for the last few years.

UMA LINDA MULHER (Pretty Woman) is based on the movie of the same name. It centers on the relationship between Vivian, a free spirited Hollywood prostitute, and Edward, a wealthy businessman. The production that arrives in Brazil for the first time has a cast of 25 singer/actors, led by the protagonists Jarbas Homem de Mello and Thais Piza.

The track follows the release of their song “Too Many Things” earlier this summer. The Linda Lindas kicked off this year with triumphant appearances at Coachella and Boston Calling and have spent the summer on an arena tour opening for Paramore. Mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard has had to withdraw from this Saturday's performance of Berlioz's Les Nuits d'été due to illness.

Maestro, the Leonard Bernstein biopic starring Bradley Cooper, will premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Directed by Cooper, the film also stars Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer, and Maya Hawke. The film is produced by Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Bradley Cooper, Fred Berner, and Amy Durning.

This year, confronting the nationwide legislative assault on trans people and drag performance, Squirts puts a heavy concentration into NYC’s drag and nightlife scenes from the 90s to today. 

Next week, 231 spellers will descend on the Washington D.C. area to compete for the Scripps Cup in four segments of competition May 30-June 1. Cheering them on with their brand of Southern California punk rock are The Linda Lindas, who will perform during the iconic competition’s Opening Cermony on Monday evening.  

The Linda Lindas have shared their new music video for “Too Many Things.” Directed by Ryan Baxley who has previously collaborated with the band on other videos. The girls play numerous characters, overwhelmed by the hustle of a busy diner. The piece was filmed at Burgerlords in the Highland Park neighborhood of their hometown, Los Angeles.
