Paul Alexander Nolan Replaces Douglas Hodge in MY FAIR LADY at Bay Street Theater; Full Cast Set!

Bay Street Theater has announced the full cast and creative team of MY FAIR LADY, Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, Music by Frederick Loewe, Based on Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw & Gabriel Pascal's motion picture, and Directed by Michael Arden, Tony Award nominee and Outer Critics Circle Award-winner for Best Director of a Musical for the Broadway revival of Spring Awakening. MY FAIR LADY will run August 2 - 28.

WICKED Tour Stars to Reunite in CT Repertory Theatre's SPAMALOT

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will stage Monty Python's Spamalot, the Tony Award winning musical comedy with book and lyrics by Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle as the final show of its 2015-2016 season. The show is directed by Richard Ruiz.  Performances will be held in the Harriet S. If you ask the average theater-goer their opinion of Shakespeare, you are bound to get a variety of answers. Some will immediately begin gushing about which of the bard's plays they have seen, which they like the best, or which they don't care for. Others will pretend to be fans, but make excuses anytime they are invited to one of his plays. But some will just say outright, 'I hate Shakespeare', or in the case of Andrew Rally the television star who finds himself in the middle of a surreal, and altogether paranormal situation, 'I Hate Hamlet!' This January, The Storm Theatre Company (Peter Dobbins, Producing Artistic Director; Fleur Alys Dobbins , Associate Artistic Director) will present North American Premiere of the 2012 Olivier Award winning play COLLABORATORS by John Hodge, directed by Peter Dobbins. COLLABORATORS will begin performances at Grand Hall (440 Grand Street at St. Mary's Church) on January 8 and will open on January 14 through February 13, 2016. New Worlds Theatre Project to Stage World Premiere of Pinski's PROFESSOR BRENNER

New Worlds Theatre Project (Ellen Perecman, Producing Artistic Director) has announced that it will present the world premiere of David Pinski's comic tragedy, Professor Brenner, directed by Paul Takacs, in a translation by Ellen Perecman, beginning Sunday, November 1 at 2pm at HERE, 145 Sixth Avenue. The opening night is set for Monday, November 2 at 7pm.

BWW Review: TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE at Playhouse On Park

At the beginning of the premiere production of Playhouse on Park's seventh season, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, we learn that we are present for the last class taught by Morrie Schwartz, and that Mitch Albom, the author of the book on which the play is based, will be the sole student. But seated in the audience, I felt that wasn't exactly true. I too, was a student of Morrie's, learning along with Mitch, the life lessons that he conveyed in such a straightforward and loving way.
