Strain, Mendenhall, Ingvarsson Announced For ANGELS IN AMERICA At Forum Theatre

Company member Alexander Strain is among the prestigious DC actors cast in Forum Theatre's revival of the Tony Award-winning Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes. In addition to Strain, who plays Louis, the ensemble features Helen Hayes Award-winners Jennifer Mendenhall as Hannah and Nanna Ingvarsson as The Angel, along with Helen Hayes nominees Karl Miller as Prior and Jim Jorgensen as Roy Cohn. Casie Platt as Harper, Daniel Eichner as Joe, and Ro Boddie as Belize round out the cast.
Delaware Theatre Company Announces 2009-2010 Season Lineup

Artistic Director Anne Marie Cammarato has announced Delaware Theatre Company's (DTC) 2009-2010 season. Cammarato says the company's 31st season will be a pure celebration of theatre: 'the DTC stage will come alive with music, puppetry, radio drama, documentary, video and poetry all season long. Exploring storytelling in all forms and creating rare theatrical moments, the plays we've chosen are about communities across the country and approach them from new, surprising and insightful angles.'

Signature Theatre's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer today announced Signature's 20th anniversary season, saluting the two decades that have led the company to its position as one of the nation's leading forces in musical theater. The company will present a world premiere musical through its innovative American Musical Voices Project; a masterpiece by the composer for which the company is renowned, Stephen Sondheim; the Washington premiere of a recent Broadway hit; and the reinvention of a classic musical, supporting Signature's 'much-deserved reputation for excellence in revisionist musical theater' (Chicago Tribune).

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announced that during the run of Mike Daisey's HOW THEATER FAILED AMERICA, there will be free industry roundtables following three performances to discuss the many issues raised in the piece. The roundtable discussions following performances on January 9, 12, and 16 will include local theatre administrators, artists, and funders.
