Half Moon Theatre will close its exciting inaugural season at The Culinary Institute of America with its fifth annual Ten Minute Play Festival. Turn to Flesh Productions has announced that it will present IN FLIGHT, a new verse play (in rhyming couplets) about a woman with a literary background navigating the corporate world at the offices of an in-flight airline magazine, May 9 - 23 at The WorkShop Theater, 312 West 36th Street, Fourth Floor East (between 8th and 9th Avenues). The production, written by Jenny Lyn Bader and directed by Jessica Bauman, will have its official opening on Thursday, May 14th at 8:00PM.

This premiere reading, directed by Gretchen Cryer was presented for one-performance only last night, April 8, 2015 at The York Theatre Company.

League of Professional Theatre Women to Host Networking Event, 3/23

On Monday, March 23, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, will present a special event for Women's History month, Writing Plays By, For, or About Women. The event will be from 6pm to 8pm at Theater Lab at 357 W. 36th St. on the 3rd floor, focusing on the roles of women in today's theater. Tickets are FREE for League Members or $15 for the public and available at theatrewomen.org.

The OBIE Award-winning Theater:Village festival, which is presented by Axis Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, New Ohio Theatre, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, returns for its second year, September 4 - October 5. Following last year's The Hill Town Plays, which presented five works by the playwright Lucy Thurber, this year's festival, titled E Pluribus, will feature four new plays celebrating the diversity of America.
