THE ILLUSION, a Long Island rock band, has been inducted into the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame after performing on stage for the first time in over 51 years. The Illusion band members from West Hempstead and Franklin Square (Western Nassau) include John Vinci, Mike Maniscalco, Rich Cerniglia, Chuck Alder and Mike Ricciardella.

The Rolling Stones have teamed up with Lady Gaga on their new single, 'Sweet Sound of Heaven.' “Sweet Sounds Of Heaven” also features keys & piano from Stevie Wonder, “Bite My Head Off” with bass from Paul McCartney, and “Get Close” and ‘Live By The Sword’” with piano from Elton John.

New Order have announced a show in Los Angeles at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park on 11/15, with support from Blossoms. This precedes their headlining performance at Darker Waves Festival on 11/18 and follows a run of European dates. Last spring saw New Order give a run of triumphant North American performances.

Hooveriii (Hoover 3) will release their new LP Pointe via The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Levitation. The album was inspired by ‘60s psychedelic act Pisces to Phil Lynott’s solo releases and pioneering electronic acts like Tangerine Dream and the end result is a collection of songs that are more about creating a specific type of feeling.

Jake Shears has shared two new remixes of track “I Used To Be In Love” from YAME and Le Chev. The polymathic Scissor Sisters’ front-man also recently confirmed details of his West End debut, having joined the cast of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club alongside Self Esteem (aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor) from September 2023.

Crick was the first artist signed to Mac DeMarco’s illustrious record label and is thrilled to follow up his acclaimed debut with this poetic, stripped-back collection of piano-led arrangements. In his young career, Crick has already shared stages with  Weyes Blood​, ​Kirin J. Callinan​, John Carroll Kirby, ​Connan Mockasin and Iggy Pop.

The song is fittingly clubby, driven by a shuffling downtempo groove that supports warm synth pads and wiry leads. Where the band’s previous single, “New York,” was energetic and flashy, “Crash” is more reflective and nuanced. It highlights the stylistic range that underlines Sextile’s new album Push. Paramore will  join Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour as the opener for all 48 dates of the 2024 European leg of the tour. The European leg kicks off in Paris on May 9th and wraps in London on August 17th at Wembley Stadium, one of six nights the tour will spend at the venue. Paramore opened for Taylor Swift on the first two shows of The Eras Tour.
