What did our critic think of CHICKEN & BISCUITS at Asolo Repertory Theatre?

As its title suggests, it's like theatrical comfort food.

Asolo Repertory Theatre will present Douglas Lyons’ CHICKEN & BISCUITS as the third play in its 2023 repertory season. Bianca LaVerne Jones, who served as associate director of the 2021 Broadway production, will direct.

A tapestry that explores the intricacies of life through the unique lens of Black men comes to life in The Happening: A Theatrical Mixtape, Volume IV: Black Like He, written and directed by Darius V. Daughtry and featuring some of South Florida's finest talent, in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Friday through Sunday, December 16-18. 

One of South Florida's best-known poets, authors, directors and educators takes the stage in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts when Art Prevails Project founder Darius V. Daughtry presents a staged reading of his new play, Seeking, on Saturday July 23 at 4 and 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15. 

Asolo Repertory Theatre is presenting the timely new comedy EUREKA DAY, written by New College of Florida alumnus Jonathan Spector. Directed by Bianca LaVerne Jones, EUREKA DAY runs through June 4, in the intimate Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.
