This pay what you can, pandemic appropriate, LIVE performance includes original music, dance, and choral readings of Edgar Allen Poe's Eleonora, Annabel Lee, The Raven, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Premature Burial and more.

If you want to get in the mood for Halloween, take a trip to the Pine Island Playhouse for its production of Poe. Founder Nichole Pichon has taken several of Poe's poems and short stories and dramatized them. Death and madness abound.

Hudson emerged from the darkness as himself with nary a trace of his Poe essence to be seen. Soon he opened the suitcase placed on the stage and as he shared how his adoration of Poe's work began, he transformed himself before our eyes into the Master of the Macabre in all his glory. And by the time Poe's signature long black coat graced his frame, the actor was no longer there and before us stood the physical essence of Edgar Allan Poe.

In celebration of its 16th Season in downtown NYC, the critically acclaimed, award-winning troupe of performers RADIOTHEATRE presents its 4th Annual EDGAR ALLAN POE FESTIVAL MAY 16-JUNE 1. Amidst the flickering candlelight and foggy mist, the RT players will once again present LIVE ON STAGE a challenging repertory of the greatest of terrifying stories penned by the Master of The Macabre, Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) who once lived but a few blocks away and attended this very church.

Linda Cropper (Offspring) stars alongside Nicholas Bell (North By Northwest), Johnny Carr (What Rhymes with Cars and Girls) and Stephen Phillips (Winners & Losers) in the world premiere of Aidan Fennessy's The Architect, a suspenseful and heartfelt rumination on what makes life worth living, opening today 2 November at Southbank Theatre.

The Suffolk University Theatre Department is proud to announce Wesley Savick's fantastical play, Loss of Breath:  The Life and Death of Edgar Allan Poe. Loss of Breath weaves together Poe's stories and biography with sideshow illusion, puppetry, and Japanese Noh Theatre. The Puppet Showplace Theater has created puppets and masks to depict a realm between life and death, the dwelling place of Poe, his mother, spouse, Annabel Lee, ghosts and other ghastly creatures.…. and a middle-school English teacher from Indiana.

For the Halloween season, the Phoenix brings Asaykwee's fabulous Cabaret Poe, an homage to the master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe, to the Frank and Katrina Basile Stage.

Gothic, a multidisciplinary, eerie and elegant music performance which surveys European, Australian and American expressions of 'gothic' from medieval to contemporary times will be performed at Arts Centre Melbourne's Playhouse on 25 November.

Set in early 20th-century York, Everything Is Possible tells the moving story of Annie Seymour-Pearson, a local housewife who risked her life to fight for the right to vote.

The Poetry Project will host its first-ever gala in celebration of its 50th anniversary on Thursday, April 27, 2017. The gala will honor Anne Waldman for her radical and inspiring contributions to international contemporary poetry and activism, and for her past leadership of The Poetry Project. The evening will include performances by composer and performance artist Laurie Anderson, writer and vocalist LaTasha Diggs, and choreographer Yoshiko Chuma.
