Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black, Hustle & Flow, Crossroads), Suzzanne Douglas (How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Lifetime's Whitney), Emma Myles (Orange is the New Black, Child of Grace) and Diane Guerrero (Jane the Virgin, Orange is the New Black) star in musical theatre mockumentary Happy Yummy Chicken, written by Brandon Monokian and directed by Anna Loyd Bradshaw.

A professional staged reading of Medicine the Musical, a new musical by Michael Ehrenreich, is set to take place at the Daryl Roth Theatre on Monday, April 24, 2017.

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, presents Grand Theft Musical, a world premiere musical based on Robert Sickinger's 1994 musical Platinum Taps, with music composed by John Taylor Thomas. 

Lil Rascals Theatre presents MORE THAN ALL THE WORLD, Erik Ransom's epic pop rock musical inspired by Christopher Marlowe's 'Edward II', with direction and musical staging by Rachel Klein ('Around the World in 80 Days', 'The Anthem') and with orchestrations and arrangements by Andy Peterson ('Atomic'). Underscore Theatre Company is pleased to present its third annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, featuring 14 new musical productions. Created to showcase and support Chicago's burgeoning field of musical theatre creators, this year's festival will be held August 9 - 28, 2016 at Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Each production will receive four performances during the Festival. The full schedule (Tuesdays - Sundays) and can be found at www.cmtf.org, with tickets currently on sale ($20 per show, $200 all-festival rush passes). The press "sneak preview," featuring a sampling of songs from the 2016 Festival, is Monday, August 8 at 7:30 pm.

Baby Fat: Act I boasts music and lyrics by Ben Weasel of Screeching Weasel ('Cool Kids') and libretto by Ben Weasel (after Victor Hugo and Francesco Maria Piave). Michael Scholar, Jr. (The Black Rider) directs this November Theatre production, scheduled for a strictly limited engagement at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre at 66 East 4th Street, NYC from July 21 - July 23.

James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director of York Theater Company has announced that as part of its Developmental Reading Series, it will present Erik Ransom's 'More Than All the World' an epic musical inspired by Christopher Marlowe's 'Edward II' directed by Rachel Klein ('Around the World in 80 Days', 'The Anthem') with music direction and arrangements by Andy Peterson ('Atomic'). The reading will take place on March 15th at 2PM.

'ATOMIC' makes its regional theatre premiere at Meadow Brook Theatre on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester from February 10 through March 6, 2016. Danny Ginges created 'ATOMIC' and wrote the book and lyrics, with music and lyrics by Philip Foxman. Check out photos from the show below!
