Play On Shakespeare, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to exploring the world of Shakespeare in performance through translation and adaptation, today announces their Fall 2023 Season.

The 24 Hour Plays has revealed this year's company for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals.

On November 21st, 2022, distinguished artists from across the nation’s entertainment industry will come together at Town Hall for the 22nd annual production of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway — and the first live return of this flagship event since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Marriott Theatre has announced its 2023 season, under the direction of new Executive Producer, Peter Blair, and Artistic Director, Peter Marston Sullivan. Chicagoland’s longest running musical theatre will present Big Fish, Damn Yankees, Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, Gypsy, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

The University of South Carolina Department of Theatre and Dance will launch its 2022/23 performance season October 2-9 with a production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, presented outdoors on the brand-new Shakespeare Festival Stage. 

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the newest addition to the artistic team: Directing Fellow Mack Brown. Brown is the fifth Roundabout Directing Fellow. This season they will assist on multiple Roundabout productions, and work with the theatre's artistic team as a script reader and on developing two projects of their choosing.

The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, now in its 10th year, once again brought together an extraordinary group of young artists for a free professional intensive culminating in their own production of The 24 Hour Plays — available for streaming through Saturday, July 31.

Wai Ching Ho ('Marvel's The Defenders'; ENDLINGS, New York Theatre Workshop), James Chen ('FBI'; 'The Walking Dead'), and Jon Norman Schneider (Bitter Melon; HENRY VI, PARTS 1-3, National Asian American Theatre Company) lead the cast and program of Second Generation Productions' (2g's) INFLECTIONS, five short new works about the undulations of the Asian American life, curated by Executive Producer Victor Malana Maog (Disney, American Conservatory Theater, Magic Theater, Cal Shakes). Jonathan Castanien (The Sống Collective, Atlantic Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club) produces.

These 2g commissioned pieces will be presented online from June 28-30, 2021 as part of the Consortium of Asian American Theatres & Artists (CAATA)'s 'Healing Over Hate' Virtual Series.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will host a special edition tonight in support of Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC. The actors performing the series of Viral Monologues will include: Deborah S. Craig, Eugene Young, Francesca McKenzie, Jackie Chung, Ken Leung, Louis Ozawa, Manu Narayan, Maureen Sebastian, Pun Bandhu, and more.

In a time where the manifestation of prejudice and violence toward the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community has reached an extreme high, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will stream a benefit reading of Writing Fragments Home to raise funds to support and uplift the AAPI community.
