The 2023 BorderLight Fringe Festival – which will take place August 3-5, 2023 – has announced its lineup, with tickets and all-access passes now on sale. This year’s diverse lineup consists of more than 100 local, regional, and national performances. 

The 3rd Annual Logan Festival of Solo Performance, presented with generous support from the Reva & David Logan Foundation, will run at 1st Stage from July 11-21, 2019. This innovative festival, acclaimed in The Washington Post with "three plays prove the power of one," will gather celebrated solo performers from across the country for two-weeks of performances, workshops, discussions, and events. One of the most important parts in a child's development is the power of choice. Presenting children with options engages their minds and allows them to take ownership. This is the driving idea behind Escape from Peligro Island, the latest offering from Imagination Stage. It's their first production using a choose-your-own-adventure element - every time our hero Callaway (Dallas Tolentino) is presented with a choice, the audience is asked to vote by holding up paddles - one side blue, one side red. As evidenced by their press performance this weekend, it's a fruitful device on both an artistic and marketing level - with 70 different ways the show can go, the possibilities are nearly endless.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announces its 2019-2020 season of Performances for Young Audiences designed to inspire and engage audiences both young and young at heart. The upcoming season includes three Kennedy Center-produced world premiere stage productions, five productions hailing from The Netherlands, a Family Look-In performance of the Washington National Opera's The Magic Flute, and original Music for Young Audiences programs showcasing various musical genres, with some programs featuring musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra.
