Creative Summit, a collective of arts organizations and artists in the Summit area, will present its first event on Saturday, July 27 from 5:00-7:00 pm. To celebrate, he has invited 74 showcase alumni to return to the stage in 5 concerts of his songs in what he deems: Seth's 400th Showcase Nonapalooza! The five concerts will be: Today, May 3rd; Today, May 10th; Friday, May 13th; Monday, May 16th; and Today, May 24th, all at 7PM. Shows are all at 7PM at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W. 46th St. There is a $12 cover and 2 drink minimum. ?The Morris Museum is proud to announce the complete casting for its spring play, My Mother, My Sister & Me. This world premiere stars longtime Broadway favorite Loni Ackerman (Sylvia Fenster). The cast also includes Laura Ekstrand (Arlene Abrams), Stephanie Windland (Robin Abrams), Gary Littman (Danny Abrams), Scott McGowan (Heshy Mankowitz), Ethan Berman (Marco Lopez), and introducing Paris Mercurio as Holly Abrams. My Mother, My Sister & Me was written by former Bronx native and current New Jersey resident, Sherri Heller and will be directed by Eric Hafen, Producing Artistic Director of the Bickford Theatre. The play will run twelve times at the Bickford Theatre from April 7 through April 24, 2016.
Producers Andrew Rothkin and Jay Michaels have come together to produce a series of scary plays befitting the season. This trick or treat bag is filled with prominent artists, guest directors, and premieres. Joseph Koch of Manhattan's memorabilia haven Forbidden Planet and Brooklyn's Warehouse of Wonder (more than 1,000,000 comic books and other memorabilia) is supplying vintage giveaways and prizes. The Group Theatre Too (GTT), in association with Paul Michael's The Network, NYC, presented a star-studded benefit performance, Broadway at the Met Room, at New York's premier cabaret venue, The Metropolitan Room, December 2nd at 7pm. The performance is raising funds for GTT's Broadway Performance Project and will unveil the "Nicole Fosse Scholarship". Created by Kimberly Vaughn, The Broadway Performance Project is dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent. This mini-conservatory trains the student to achieve Broadway caliber performance which is further shaped by industry professionals in prep for a two-evening performance at a top NY cabaret venue. Early this Fall GTT board member, Nicole Fosse agreed to create a scholarship in her name giving more opportunities for performers to take part in the 2013 season of Broadway Performance Project.
