New York Shakespeare Exchange has announced their upcoming outdoor production of Shakespeare's THE WINTER'S TALE, directed by Liz Thaler. THE WINTER'S TALE begins performances on Saturday, September 18 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 10. 

The White Plains Performing Arts Center will present the 16th Annual Summer Theatre Academy. Open to students in current grades K-10, the Summer Theatre Academy (STA) will present its first ever online Musical Theatre Intensive followed by three on-stage musicals this summer.

The New Collectives are excited to announce the first show of their 2019 season, M4M, a seven character reimagining of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure.

Zodiac Math, written and performed by Elizabeth May is equal parts 90's pop music video, slumber party seance, and honest confession. Zodiac Math is an evening of intimate storytelling, scored by anachronistic alt-pop. Driven by family folklore of a childhood death curse, Elizabeth May explores questions of sexual identity and twin magic. She's endlessly searching for the missing half of a broken heart necklace, and laying herself bare in a dark comedic ritual that transforms the audience into her imaginary friends. Zodiac Math was developed as part of The New Collectives' Daily Development Workshop at IRT Theatre.

Kicking off the season will be Hip to Hip's first indoor offering: a free staged reading of Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2, finishing what Hip to Hip started with last season's triumphant production of Henry IV, Part 1. Shakespeare's action-packed and hilarious cavalcade of noble warriors, scheming rebels, and brawling tavern scoundrels, led by the iconic Sir John Falstaff, will be staged on April 28th at 2 pm at The Queens Museum; and April 29th at 7 pm at The Actors Company Theatre (TACT).

In the days following the Trojan War, how do the women find the will to survive as they await their fate at the hands of the conquering Greeks? A story of women's strength, hope, and community as their lives are uprooted. This modern translation of an ancient play by Irish poet Brendan Kennelly, provides a lens through which to view the issues facing refugee women in today's world. Hip to Hip Theatre Company, under the Artistic Direction of Jason Marr is in their final week of performances. Five remaining shows are scheduled for Manhattan, Queens, and Southampton. Now in its eleventh season, Hip to Hip will end their 2017 tour with a performance of Henry IV on Saturday, August 19th at 7:30 pm in Southampton.

MTC Producing Director Ryan Rilette directs this 'deftly zany absurdist comedy' (New York Magazine) that is 'dark, sweet and thoroughly engaging... surprisingly touching' (The New York Times). Opening night is on April 5.
