1969: The Second Man, an original concept album by Jacob Brandt about the second man to walk on the moon, will be released this October. The album will be available to stream everywhere beginning October 1, 2020, the 62nd Anniversary of the founding of NASA. It is now available for pre-download on Spotify.

Strike back at the Empire! The Trade Federation: Or, Let's Explore Globalization Through the Star Wars Prequels, a new political comedy by Andy Boyd, will make its world premiere September 20-28 at IRT Theatre in the West Village. Allen MacLeod directs the allegorical farce about global trade, the International Monetary Fund, and (of course) Star Wars. Tickets are on sale now at www.irttheatre.org.

Loading Dock Theatre will produce a reading of the new horror play, The Pitchforks by Andrew Kramer, on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28 at 5pm as a special Halloween offering of The Forklift Reading Series at their space at 170 Tillary St.

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, and Buzz Aldrin followed behind him. On August 28, 2018, nearly 50 years later, Next Door at the New York Theatre Workshop brought Buzz's life from the shadows and into the (moon) light in 1969: The Second Man.

Producer Madeleine Foster Bersin is proud to announce initial casting for 1969: The Second Man, created by Jacob Brandt (The Great Glaciation), featuring music & lyrics by Brandt, a book by Dan Giles (Breeders), and directed by Jaki Bradley (Good Men Wanted), as part of Next Door at NYTW.

2017 FRIGID Festival presents A Ragged Man production of Go! Go! Gilgamesh!, written by Phoebe Kreutz and directed by Jacob Brandt. The show runs tonight, February 15th, through February 28th as part of the 2017 FRIGID Festival.

The epic of the Gilgamesh is the first story ever written down by human beings and it is a doozy. Sex, power, violence, love, guilt, and death- it's all there. But now the classic tale is getting a lively, irreverent makeover in this high-spirited musical romp complete with cardboard sets, a self-orchestrated cast and toe-tapping joke folk hits!

Tickets are now available for Fracture Theatre Co.'s production of URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL. The show will be recreated in it's original Off-Broadway home, The American Theatre of Actors with a cast of 23. The show will run from October 16th to the 24th with rehearsals scheduled to begin Sept. 8th.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, celebrated Chris Pratt as the recipient of its 2015 Man of the Year Award. The Pudding is excited to honor a performer who became a bona fide Hollywood heavyweight in the past year. Pratt joined his Parks & Recreation co-star Amy Poehler, who was feted on January 29 as the Hasty Pudding's 2015 Woman of the Year. On Sunday, May 18th, 15 high school students from the Quest To Learn school in New York City gathered at the Producers Club in the Theatre District, where they met members of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals: Jason Hellerstein, a junior majoring in Literature and President of the company for the upcoming year; Josh Friedman, a sophomore majoring in Psychology and the Producer of HPT167; Ally Covello, a sophomore majoring in neurobiology and member of the Hasty Pudding band (saxophone, clarinet, and flute); and Paris Ellsworth, a junior majoring in Psychology and cast member, who played Albanian psychic Macy Deadpeople in the Pudding's latest production, Victorian Secrets. They were soon joined by David Binder, the Producer of Hedwig and The Angry Inch on Broadway;associate producer Mark Berger, make-up artist and wig master Mike Potter, Barbara Crompton, Hedwig's company manager, and Sarah Marcus from Serino Coyne, the advertising agency for Hedwig.
