The Riant Theatre's 32nd Annual Strawberry One-Act Festival is proud to announce the Winners of the September 2019 one-act play competition. 

THE FARM (We Grow Theatre!) announces the cast and the dates for the new original drama and new musical-comedy for Industry presentations on Monday, August 12 and Tuesday, August 13. Each show will be performed both days.

The New York City premiere of 'Separate and Equal,' written and directed by Seth Panitch, is now enthralling its audiences at 59E59 Theaters. The show is a stunning portrayal of race relations told through a combination of storytelling, basketball play, and contemporary dance performed to an original jazz soundtrack.

The Riant Theatre's Strawberry One-Act Festival presented its AWARDS CEREMONY & PERFORMANCE on Sunday, May 27th at 5pm at Theatre 54 @ Shetler Studios in Manhattan. The INDUSTRY JUDGES, included: Margaret Emory, Agent from SW Artists, Ellyn Long-Marshall, Casting Director from the Orpheus Group Casting, Count Stovall, Actor (Broadway, CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF) and Michael McDavid, Theatre Producer and Educator (The McCarter Theatre Center). STEVE by Ian Eaton took home the BEST PLAY AWARD and a grant for $1,500 and a development deal to have a full-length play produced by the Riant Theatre.

The Riant Theatre - the Audelco Award-winning nonprofit providing a nurturing developmental environment for playwrights and theatre creators of diverse cultural backgrounds - presents THE STRAWBERRY ONE-ACT FESTIVAL. A celebration of cultural diversity, THE STRAWBERRY ONE-ACT FESTIVAL will be presented at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues, NYC) beginning today, July 13th. Sudacas Theater, a new Latino American theater company has announced that it will present IMPLICATIONS OF COHABITATION, a new heartfelt comedy written by Vanessa Verduga about the implications of one man's life choices after his wife dies and he attempts to reconnect with his three adult children. The production, which begins previews on Friday, August 5th at Theater Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street), will have it's official opening on Friday, August 12th at 8:00PM and is directed by Argentinian director Leni Mendez. The Riant Theatre's 28th Strawberry One-Act Festival presented the "Best Play Award" to the comedy "Casper, The Not So Friendly Ghost" written by  Domenic Servidio, a senior at New World School of the Arts in Miami, on August 24 at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space.

The Riant Theatre's Strawberry One-Act Festival will announce winners for Best Play, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Video Diary at the Strawberry One-Act Festival Awards Ceremony & Performance on Monday, August 24 at 7:30pm at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street.

The Riant Theatre invites the public to the Strawberry One-Act Festival 25th Season Launch Party on Sunday, February 9 for a free, fun cultural day for youngsters and adults filled with theatre, film, book, music, poetry dance, award programs and creative workshops from 12noon to 9:00pm at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse, between 165th & 166th Street in the Bronx.
