Inaugural Bravely Awards Honoring Artist/Activist Joan Lipkin Raises Over $10,000


Theatre artist and social activist Joan Lipkin received two standing ovations at the recent inaugural Bravely Awards Luncheon to honor women who exemplify courage.

Theatre Artist And Social Activist Joan Lipkin Recognized In Inaugural Bravely Awards


Bravely, Inc. (formerly Magdalene St. Louis), a Missouri nonprofit corporation, will present its Inaugural Bravely Awards ceremony at a luncheon on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Patty Long's Ninth Street Abbey, located at 1808 S. 9th Street in the historic Soulard neighborhood in the City of St. Louis. The luncheon takes place from 12 noon to 1:15 PM (with networking and registration from 11:30 to 12:00) and all proceeds from this event will go directly to Bravely, a residential program for women who have survived sexual exploitation (prostitution and trafficking), abuse and addiction.

CATS to Open At Artisan Center Theater


CATS opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, October 12, 2018 and runs through Saturday, November 3, 2018. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.

StageOne Family Theatre, Louisville, KY's professional theatre for young audiences, presents a new look at the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali with the world premiere production of And in This Corner…Cassius Clay, on January 17, 2015, Ali's 73rd birthday. Dubbed "Play it Forward: Champions Night," the evening will feature a gala dinner as well as the play, and a post-show champagne reception honoring the Champ and the new production. The event will be co-hosted by StageOne Family Theatre, The Muhammad Ali Center and The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. Performances will continue atThe Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts from January 19th to February 14th.
