Bucks County Playhouse will stage its annual benefit gala as a starry online broadcast featuring special guest, Cyndi Lauper, on Saturday, October 24 at 7 pm. Entitled, 'Bucks County Playhouse - At Home 2020: A Gala Celebration,' the virtual event replicates the Playhouse's annual in-person celebration.

A sold out crowd at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA enjoyed a benefit reading of George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” this past Wednesday, February 5. Marsha Mason directed the reading. A reception with the cast was held at The Deck Restaurant and Bar at the Playhouse.

A benefit concert, 'A Beautiful Dawning: Oklahoma! at 75,' a celebration of Rodgers and Hammerstein's ground-breaking musical, is a highlight of Bucks County Playhouse's fifth Oscar Hammerstein Festival, June 21-22.

Lou Volpe, the retired theatre education pioneer was recently inducted into the prestigious Bucks County Playhouse Hall of Fame, following such honorees as Angela Lansbury, Oscar Hammerstein and Shirley Jones. A formal ceremony was held on April 14 at the historic playhouse. Volpe, whose career is the inspiration behind "Rise," the new TV series on NBC, was heralded for his life's work as a high school drama teacher at Harry S. Truman High School in Levittown, PA. During his tenure there, he transformed this Bucks County community with the magic of theater.

The rebirth of Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) was celebrated with over 300 guests at the Second Annual Galavant in the Garden on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the magnificent 100-acre 18th century Hortulus Farm in Wrightstown, PA. There was a outstanding concert by the renowned Broadway and television star Megan Hilty. The gala is the premiere fall event of Bucks County complete with aperitifs, a moveable feast, live auction, Hilty's performance and a lavish dessert buffet. Local dignitaries, elected officials and Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) supporters gathered by the river and participated in a groundbreaking ceremony hosted by Tony Award-winning Broadway producers who now manage the Playhouse -- Alexander Fraser, Producing Director ('Kinky Boots', 'The Normal Heart') and Robyn Goodman, Executive Producer ('Avenue Q', 'In the Heights').
