Prospero Arts and Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) have announced the line-up of cast for The Wizard of Oz – In Concert’s exclusive Brisbane season in QPAC’s Concert Hall from 30 June to 2 July 2023.

The 2022 Mike Walsh Fellowships, amounting to $61,500, have recently been announced.  These five awards bring the total amount that Mike Walsh in the last 25 years has given to further the careers of up-and-coming theatre practitioners - from all areas of theatre - to just over $1,000,000.

“Dead Star Light” combines traditional roots instrumentation such as guitar, drums, bass, and pedal steel guitar with lush string arrangements and synths and features drummer Fred Eltringham (Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini) and bassist Mark Hill (Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, The Civil Wars).
