Earlier this week, acclaimed singer/songwriter, musician and producer Mac McAnally and fellow members of The Coral Reefer Band were joined by State Representatives at the Tennessee State Capitol to honor the life and legacy of Jimmy Buffett. 

A Jimmy Buffett tribute concert is set for next month at the Hollywood Bowl with a star-studded lineup of musical talent. The event will include performances from Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, Brandi Carlile, the Eagles, Sheryl Crow, Eric Church, Jackson Browne, Zac Browne, Jackson Browne, Pitbull, and Kenny Chesney.

Celebrating the city that deeply influenced his music and joyful outlook on life, the release of the music video for 'University of Bourbon Street' displays Jimmy Buffett's love affair with New Orleans. This standout track from his final album, Equal Strain On All Parts, features the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Serving as the official kickoff leading into C2C, the CMA Songwriters Series show on Thursday, March 7 will feature performances by Colbie Caillat, Lauren Alaina, Stephen Wilson Jr., Charlie Worsham and special guests. The title is inspired by Buffett’s grandfather’s description of a good nap. The record, co-produced by longtime Coral Reefers, Michael Utley and Mac McAnally, features well-known friends, including Paul McCartney, Emmylou Harris, Lennie Gallant, Angelique Kidjo, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

“Being A Woman (Is Like Being The Sun)” was written by Caroline, and features an incredible group of all-female Bluegrass musicians including GRAMMY Award-winning artist Alison Brown (producer/banjo), Rebecca Frazier (guitar/vocals), Kate Lee O’Connor (fiddle/harmony vocal), Mary Meyer (mandolin), and Missy Raines (bass).

Originally born in 1991, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records in 1992, and that is when the ball started rolling.
