Shifters opens at the Bush Theatre on 16 February 2024.  This surprising and playful world premiere, a new Bush Theatre commission written by Benedict Lombe (Lava, winner of the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for Playwriting) and directed by Bush Theatre Artistic Director, Lynette Linton (August in England, Clyde's) will star Heather Agyepong (School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play) and Tosin Cole (Doctor Who).

Santa Fe Playhouse (SFP) has announced that Robyn Rikoon is stepping down as its Artistic Director after a three-and-a-half-year tenure leading the regional theatre and advancing its legacy of artistic excellence. This morning, Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:00am, Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) hosted the official lighting ceremony for its new Broadway home, The Hayes Theater (240 West 44th street). Designed by David Rockwell of Rockwell Group, this landmarked, newly renovated venue has become, under Second Stage's ownership, the first Broadway theater dedicated exclusively to living American playwrights.

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will present the world premiere of Some Light Emerges, a chamber opera created by the acclaimed team of composer Laura Kaminsky and librettists Mark Campbell and Kimberly Reed, on March 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., at the Ballroom at Bayou Place.

Temple Theaters opens its 49th anniversary season with Crumbs from the Table of Joy by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynne Nottage. Directed by Lee Kenneth Richardson, this memory play is a thought-provoking coming-of-age story set in 1950s New York City. Featuring a small cast of undergraduate and graduate student actors the production runs September 21 - October 2 in Temple University's Randall Theater.
