This Might Not Be It, a new play that unflinchingly confronts the hard truths of our crumbling NHS mental health services, opens at the Bush Theatre on 30 January 2024.

An accomplished, evocative solo project, the piece sits between a play with songs and a straight drama infused with socio-politics: much like its creator, it’s impossible to pigeonhole it. She is casually funny between candid reflections that are strong in their stance. While these are sanitised and skittish most of the time, they culminate in an invigorating, rightfully angry invective against the typically English refusal of acknowledging a past of imperialism, colonisation, and the scars that we still bear. This climax puts the whole story into perspective, tying it into the ongoing social discourse.

#Black is… is a devised theatre piece that elevates the voices of 10 young black teenagers growing up in North London as they explore what the term ‘Black is’ and ‘who we are’ collectively and individually. 

The team at the Bush Theatre, led by Artistic Director Lynette Linton and Executive Director Lauren Clancy are celebrating an unprecedented year of hit plays, community work, and industry awards for the venue's 50th anniversary year.

Part gig, part piano lesson, part journey through Empire, Elephant, a powerful new play from singer, songwriter, actress, and composer Anoushka Lucas who was recently celebrated in the role of Laurey in Oklahoma! at the Young Vic, opens at the Bush Theatre on 24 October (press night 25 October).  A Bush commission, Elephant first appeared as part of the Bush's Protest series of videos in 2020, a response to the murder of George Floyd.  

Following the success of the Bush Theatre's Studio season, a laboratory for the very best in new writing, new stories, and new experiences, hosting world-class plays about things that matter from some of the best up-and-coming artists, the venue today announces The Kola Nut Does Not Speak English. Written and performed by Tania Nwachukwu and previously seen at the Vault Festival in 2020 will open in the Bush Studio on 28 November (Press night 30 November). 

A heart-warming story of acceptance, Clutch, a new Bush Theatre commission, opens on 19 September (press night 21 September) at Bush Theatre. The cast is announced as Geoffrey Aymer and newcomer Charlie Kafflyn, who makes his professional debut. 

Acclaimed stage and screen actor Richard Coyle will return to the West End to play the iconic role of Atticus Finch in the critically acclaimed production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird – a new play by Aaron Sorkin, directed by Bartlett Sher. 

With the production currently playing to critical acclaim and capacity houses, To Kill a Mockingbird is continuing to implement a series of education and outreach initiatives to run alongside the production.

Further creatives have been announced for the Bush Theatre's 50th season of Studio shows which opens on 27 June with the world-premiere of actor and writer Nikhil Parmar's Invisible. 

Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s classic novel To Kill A Mockingbird officially opened last night at the Gielgud Theatre.

Barry Diller and Sonia Friedman today announce the extension of the critically acclaimed West End production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird – a new play by Aaron Sorkin – with the production now running at the Gielgud Theatre until 19 November, 2022. 

All new photos have been released of the West End production of To Kill a Mockingbird. The production will open at the Gielgud Theatre on 31 March 2022, with previews from 10 March. This new play by Aaron Sorkin is based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, and directed by Bartlett Sher.

Ahead of previews starting this Thursday 10 March, To Kill a Mockingbird today announces the launch of the All Rise ticket scheme in an exclusive partnership with TodayTix, offering £15 seats for every performance across the run.

Additional casting has been announced for the West End production of Aaron Sorkin's acclaimed stage adaptation of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird.

Iris Theatre today announces the full casts and creative teams for the first four productions in their inaugural Winter Season. The Winter Season will run at new theatre space The POD at the Actors' Church, Covent Garden from 20 November – 21 December 2021.

Hampstead Theatre has announced further live productions for 2021. 

Second Street Players will bring Happy Days, A New Musical to its Riverfront Theater stage this summer for a rockin' and rollin' good time. Based on the hit television series, the show will run for two weekends in July. With amazing music from Oscar-winner Paul Williams and a book by the TV series' original creator Garry Marshall, Happy Days, A New Musical is sure to be fun for all. The production is directed by Josh Gross and co-directed by Laura Howard.
