The Prine Family will present the third annual “You Got Gold: Celebrating the Songs of John Prine” this October in Nashville, with shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium (October 9), The Basement East (October 10, Prine’s birthday) and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CMA Theater (October 11).

“Flea Market” is taken from One for Jackie, Madison’s sophomore album out now via Warner Records/War Buddha Records. The album also features a collaboration with Iron & Wine and singles “One for Jackie, One for Crystal,” “Skydiving” and “Fortune Teller”— which inspired Madison’s Fortune Teller Arcana Tarot Card website. Modeled after Prine’s 1935 Wurlitzer Jukebox, it features the eight singles Prine released throughout his career on Oh Boy Records packaged in their original artwork as well as working lights that illuminate the jukebox, a booklet with a forward written by Jim Rooney, two “Handsome Johnny” jukebox coins, a vintage Oh Boy Records catalogue and more.

Brandi Carlile’s new rendition of Indigo Girls’ “Closer to Fine,” featuring her wife, Catherine Carlile, is out now and featured on the new version of the Barbie movie soundtrack: Barbie The Album (Best Weekend Ever Edition). Produced by Carlile, who plays guitar, piano, keys, banjo and moog on the track, “Closer To Fine.'

9x GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician and producer Brandi Carlile will perform a special show at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl alongside surprise guests on Saturday, October 14. The newly confirmed show adds to yet another triumphant year for Carlile, who held her once-in-a-lifetime “Echoes Through The Canyon” event this past weekend.

Brandi Carlile has released her rendition of “Home” from The Wiz. The new song is the latest studio work from Carlile, whose recent producer projects include Shucked writer Brandy Clark’s new album. The Wiz is also set to make its return to Broadway in 2024 with an entirely reimagined revival. It was adapted into a film in 1978 starring Diana Ross.

The organizers of Pure Imagination – the female led and curated, environmentally forward, all-ages destination festival taking place on May 20th in Prescott, AZ – have announced the addition of two acts to the already fantastic line-up for its sophomore edition: Los Lobos and Dirtwire.

Created as an annual Mother’s Day celebration, the festival will feature performances from Carlile, Hozier, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Danielle Ponder, The Milk Carton Kids, Katie Pruitt and Fancy Hagood.

15x CMA Award-winner Chris Stapleton was named Male Vocalist of the Year for the sixth time at last night’s 56th Annual CMA Awards, setting the record for most wins ever in the category. Stapleton also performed “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive” with Patty Loveless and Darrell Scott during the live broadcast, which Rolling Stone called “epic.”
