BA Austin's Smell the Raindrops Finalist in Pacific Book Awards...
BA Austin's critically acclaimed intimate memoir, Smell the Raindrops: One Young Woman's Journey through Life, Love, and Recovery (Crescendo Press), shows no signs of being relegated to the dustbin of literary history. Two years after its official release, the book is still receiving praise, most recently having been named a finalist in the biographymemoirs category of the prestigious Pacific Book Awards Contest. We open with Maggie, Josh and Liza clearing the apartment of the girls' mattress — there was a case of bedbugs in the building, and though it wasn't directly in their apartment, Maggie and Liza are clearing out just to be safe. While Maggie hightails it to her cousin's, Liza's — you guessed it — temporary living with Josh. Cue the foreplay and sexual innuendo… and there sure is a lot of it.
