Karlee Squires BIO

Karlee Squires is a Canadian born triple threat. She began training as a competitive dancer and singer at the age of three and since then her passion has been performing and building a career in "La La Land" (the entertainment biz). Karlee began pursuing acting and film making at AMDA College and Conservatory for the Performing Arts, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre. Karlee has spent the last four years living in Los Angeles, professionally performing and working in film production.

As an actor, Karlee is extremely motivated and loves performing. This motivation got her to book her first professional theatre gig three days out of college. Since then, she has been consistently performing, learning, and creating new material. Karlee most recently worked with the Helen Hayes drama desk award winning, Musical Theatre Guild, playing Olga/Mary Lou in their production of Sugar. You can currently catch Karlee performing on stage with the Creating Arts Company (CAC) and also on screen staring in NBC/Universal, E!'s final episode of Face Forward, to be aired on Snapchat in December 2017.

Karlee will be staring as the 'mythic bitch' Heather Chandler in Heathers, the Musical with YA4Ever in January performed at Hillcrest Center for the Performing Arts in Thousand Oaks.

BWW Review: Successful Finale LA's NEXT GREAT STAGE STAR 2018


On Monday, August 27 LA's Next Great Stage Star 2018 Presented by Princess Cruises came to a thrilling conclusion on the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage of the El Portal Theatre in NoHo. After a very entertaining 90-minute program in which the 10 contestants gave 150% to their monologues and songs from Broadway shows, eight contestants were eliminated and the top two finalists were selected. It was then decided,  from the consensus of the judges, to add a third runnerup. Then each of the three proceeded to perform a second number after which the distinguished panel of judges made the final decision. Musical director par excellence Jennifer Lin accompanied at the piano throughout the three hour show.

BWW Review: No Sleepin' on the Job in DREAMGIRLS at The Cupcake Theater


This musical is one that everyone loves, but it is not an easy one to put together and do right. Tor Campbell, the Director and Choreographer, has accomplished that with an abundance of clever ideas, high energy, style, conviction and talent. The entire Cast is on top of it, feeling and selling this Broadway treasure like nobody's business! There is so much heart in this large Cast that it just spills out everywhere on stage all the way to the back of the house. Besides non-stop movement, full-out everything across the board performancewise, each Principal and each Ensemble member puts their all into it. Book and Lyrics by Tom Eyen, music by Henry Kreiger, Originally Choreographed and Directed by the great Michael Bennett.

MTG Goes to the Movies with Season Opener SUGAR!


Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will open their 22nd Anniversary season with SUGAR, the stage musical version of the classic Hollywood film "Some Like It Hot."  This is the first of four musicals chosen in a season celebrating musical stage adaptions of films.  The one-night-only concert will take place at Glendale's historic Alex Theatre on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 7:00 PM.
