The love story that will last generations comes to life as Capitol City Opera Company (CCOC), a 501(c)3 non-profit professional opera company, opens its 37th season with their first full-staged French opera, Roméo et Juliette by composer Charles Gounod on Friday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7 at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University. Tickets are $30 – $40 and are available online at ccityopera.org.

Let the sun shine! Capitol City Opera's On the Light Side: Summer of Love opens tonight and runs through Saturday at the Highpoint Episcopal Community Church in Sandy Springs, GA. Doors open at 6:30 p.m

Capitol City Opera (CCOC), a professional opera company dedicated to supporting and promoting local Atlanta talent and producing opera accessible to everyone, will be holding the 27th Annual On the Light Side, a musical 'indoor picnic fundraiser,' on Friday, July 26 at 8:00p.m. and Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Highpoint Episcopal Community Church in Sandy Springs. Doors open early for the indoor picnic and silent auction, with the performance to follow.

In celebration of National Opera Week, The Atlanta Opera hosts its fourth annual 24-Hour Opera Project, a whirlwind creative science project where Verdi meets reality TV! Composers and lyricists, randomly paired together, are tasked with writing an opera in 12 hours. In the subsequent 12 hours, stage directors, singers and accompanists stage and rehearse the new piece. The Project culminates in a free showcase where judges and audience alike get to name the top piece.
