With their production of Sasha Hails’ Possession about to open at the company’s home base, Arcola Theatre, led by Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen and Executive Director Leyla Nazli, has announced their new season.

Outside Edge Theatre Company Will Workshop LESSONS FOR DRIVING


Lessons for Diving by Silas Parry, directed by Matt Steinberg will be workshopped 19-24 July, with showcase on 24 July and performed by Sebastián Capitán Viveros, Patrick McNamee and Dan Wolff. This will be followed by Kristian Phillips' Drift, directed by Matt Steinberg and performed by Tom Rhys Harries, workshopped 26 – 28 July with the showcase on 28 July; and finally, Boomerang by Jack Stanley will be developed 29 – 31 July, with the showcase on 31 July, directed by Jude Christian. Showcases will be at the Jerwood Space.

TROJAN HORSE Extends UK Tour


Following a hugely successful run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018 and 2019 national tour, LUNG's bold verbatim drama Trojan Horse has extended its run into 2020. Drawing on over 200 hours of interviews conducted with teachers, students, parents and governors, Helen Monks (Raised By Wolves, Inside No. 9 and Upstart Crow) and award-winning playwright and director Matt Woodhead uncover the truth behind the local story which made national press, accusing 'hardline' Muslim teachers and governors of plotting extremism in Birmingham schools.

VAULT Presents Authentic Stories Of Substance Misuse And Recovery


'Check-in/Check-out', premiering March 6-10 at VAULT Festival 2019, is a new play devised by Outside Edge Theatre Company's ensemble of actors in recovery from substance misuse. The UK's only theatre company with a focus on addiction, Outside Edge has worked with performers in recovery for twenty years to create productions that examine issues related to substance misuse, addiction and recovery. Plunging the audience into the heart of addiction, 'Check-in/Check-out' presents the performers' personal narratives of recovery and positions these stories in context next to contributing social factors.

Boundless Theatre and Script Club today announce that Josh Tucker will play the role of Liam in Tom Wells and Matthew Robins' Drip, as it embarks on a new 2019 tour following its recent run at Bush Theatre. Directed by Jane Fallowfield, the production tours to The Lowry, Salford; Customs House, South Shields; Curve, Leicester as part of #DMUpride festival; North Wall, Oxford; The Coliseum, Oldham; Slung Low, Leeds; New Wolsey, Ipswich; Nonsuch Studios, Nottingham; Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal; Phoenix Arts, Hampshire; Harrogate Theatre; Cast, Doncaster; LIVE, Newcastle; and Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.

Tom Wells' DRIP Makes Its Edinburgh Festival Fringe Debut Ahead Of UK Autumn Tour


Following its world premiere last year as part of the Hull UK City of Culture, Tom Wells' Drip, co-produced by Script Club and Boundless Theatre, makes its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut before embarking on a UK Autumn tour including a London run. Jane Fallowfield directs Andrew Finnigan who reprises his role as Liam. Opening at Paines Plough's Roundabout @ Summerhall, 20 - 26 August 2018 with further tour dates to be announced shortly.
