Actors' Theatre of Columbus (ATC) is excited to announce its upcoming 2020 performance series, a?oeRoyalsa?? a?" a look at the sovereignty and subversion of the ruling class and social elite.

Eight famous women from different time periods meet as representatives of the women's ward of an asylum in 1938. Besides their usual meeting concerns, their new focus is on ways they can show their strength over the men's ward. This dark comedy in one act showcases these strong and diverse women trapped in an absurd situation. Proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood. Ember Women's Theatre's production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron ( based on the book by Ilene Beckerman ) will take place Fridays and Saturdays, November 2nd - 17th 2018, at MadLab Theatre, 227 N. 3rd St, in Columbus. A Midsummer Night's Dream is William Shakespeare writing comedy, romance and magic at their finest. Often cited as the play that led people to a life-long love of Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream has a special place in the history of Actors' Theatre of Columbus, being the first play ever performed by the company in Schiller Park. Actors' Theatre of Columbus presents Julius Caesar, directed by Philip J. Hickman. Performances take place May 25 - June 16, 2017 on Thursdays through Sundays at 8pm at Schiller Park Amphitheatre, German Village.

Appalachia and the Bard collide in a night of live music and theatre. Sometimes dark tragedy, sometimes uproarious comedy, 'The Winter's Tale' sets the story of one of Shakespeare's more disparate and modern works, at the turn of the 19th & 20th century, between the coal mining country of Eastern Kentucky and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Inspired in part by the album 'Jean Ritchie & Doc Watson at Folk City' and heavily flavored with traditional mountain and American folk music performed by the cast, the play will celebrate the culture and the music of Appalachia, a region with strong cultural, musical and linguistic ties to Shakespeare's England, with a tragedy and joy that is uniquely and entertainingly American.

Based on the classic swashbuckling tale of vengeance and redemption, The Countess of Monte Cristo tells the story of a young woman betrayed in the name of greed and spite by people she trusted who transforms herself into an agent of self-styled justice and returns to the glitter and intrigue of upper-class Paris twenty years later to carry out her revenge.

In 1982, Actors' Theatre of Columbus (ATC) kicked off its first season with a single production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The success of that season proved that Schiller Park was an excellent venue for open air Shakespearean theater, and the troupe has continued this tradition for 35 years. "To Tell the Truth," Actors' Theatre's 2016 season, features four plays that ask questions about how far relationships can be strained and even broken by dishonesty, falsehood and slander.

Columbus Children's Theatre will present Mr. Scrooge November 27-December 20, 2015 at Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street. This production is directed by William Goldsmith, with Assistant Directors Chris Rusen and George Bailey. Book by William Goldsmith, Music and Lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, and Based on Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol.' Mr. Scrooge is a one-act musical with no intermission and runs approximately 60 minutes. This production is recommended for ages 4 and older.
