Today, the I Stand With Immigrants initiative celebrates To Immigrants With Love (TIWL), an annual effort around Valentine's Day to share messages of love and support for immigrants from people across the country - including artists, activists, and public figures.

IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, the joyous wedding day musical presented by Mad Theatre of Tampa, doesn't have a bad thought in its head. At times we wonder if it has any thought in its head, but rest assured, any thoughts it does have are good. The show contains some of the most mindless fun I've had at any musical of late; it's a guaranteed good time. Imagine the tickle of champagne bubbles in your nose, and that's the feeling you get while watching it. Giddy, goofy elation.

When you talk about a musical and its ensemble on the 35-minute drive home, it's one of two things - good or bad. In the case of mad Theatre's It Shoulda Been You, expertly directed by Tony P. Gilkinson, good doesn't do justice to the talent that graced the stage and in the audience on Wednesday night. If final dress rehearsal is any indication of how fun a performance you'll see, complimented by a live band under the musical direction of Tim Flores, I guarantee that you are in for a treat.

Ricky Marenda as Bobby leads a strong cast in a show that, nearly fifty years after it first opened, still resonates.

Just in time for wedding season, Carrollwood Players Theatre will present Alan Ball's irreverent comedy, Five Women Wearing The Same Dress, at the Carrollwood Playhouse, 4333 Gunn Highway, Tampa, FL, 33618 from June 5th until June 27th, with performances on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm and on Sundays at 3pm.

This is a show where everything comes together--acting, set design, sound, direction and that wonderful script. This is as good as community theatre gets.
