Pitlochry Festival Theatre has announced that after the success of last year's The Magic of Christmas, it will be creating, in partnership with the Macrobert Arts Centre, a wonder-filled, outdoor Christmas experience and filmed performance of L. Frank Baum's much-loved Christmas tale The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.

Take a jaunt down to the riverbank and join the adventure, as Mole, Rat and Badger try to instil just a little common sense and protect the impulsive Mr. Toad from harming himself in his impulsive antics and reckless motoring!

Inspired by the River Tay and its surrounding landscape - including Scotland's multi-award-winning, world-renowned outdoor extravaganza, The Enchanted Forest, with whom these commissions were in partnership - the nine works were originally performed last year as audio dramas, podcasts, short films.

Beacon Arts Centre are delighted to announce that television stars Jane McCarry and Mark Cox will be appearing in their spectacular family panto Beauty and the Beast this Christmas.

Still Game favourite Jane McCarry will star in the brand new production of Mum's The Word 2. The comedy actress will join an all-star cast including Libby McArthur (River City), Suzie McGuire (former Radio Clyde presenter), Lorraine McIntosh (Deacon Blue) and Julie Wilson Nimmo (Balamory). The Scottish tour commences at the King's Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 26 until Saturday 30 January.

Taking place on July 12th, the day of the infamous orange walk, the play centres around a staunch protestant father, Bill and his son Cameron who has started questioning his own beliefs and his participation in the walk.
