Jamie Brewer to Lead AMY & THE ORPHANS Film Adaptation
Jamie Brewer will reprise her role in the film adaptation of the 2018 Off-Broadway play Amy & The Orphans. Lindsey Ferrentino will adapt the play for the big screen, also making her directorial debut with the film. Edward Barbanell will also star in the film as a new role written for the screen.

The penultimate award show leading up to the Tony Awards is the Drama Desk Awards. It is a celebration of both Broadway and Off Broadway theater. In addition to the standard performance prizes for acting, music, sets, writing, and costumes, there are other categories like, Fight Coordinating, Hair and Wigs, Projections, and more. I fortunately got a chance to work the Red Carpet and the Press Room. Ford Foundation Gifts $50,000 To National Disability Theatre
National Disability Theatre has received a $50,000 grant from the Ford Foundation. These funds will support the National Disability Theatre's mission of employing professional theatre artists who create fully accessible, world-class theatre and storytelling; change social policy and the nation's narrative about disability culture; and provide a guiding model in accessibility for the arts and cultural sector.

Agent Gail Williamson Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award from Media Access Awards
As the “only agent in the country with a specialty of representing actors with disabilities,” Gail Williamson says that it is her ultimate goal that the need for specialty agents is eliminated. Someday, she hopes, agents, casting directors and producers will be able to accommodate actors with disabilities themselves, without needing to call her. First and foremost, Williamson considers herself an advocate for people with disabilities.
