Boca Stage opens the 2022/2023 season with a mesmerizing new play, The Thin Place by Obie Award winner Lucas Hnath. Heaven and Earth, the Celtic saying goes, are only three feet apart, but in “thin places” that distance is even shorter. Boca Stage has assembled an extraordinary cast of accomplished actors to bring this haunting tale to life. 

This political thriller reveals what happens when an aspiring candidate faces a scandal from his college years. Penned by award-winning playwright Kenneth Lin, who has also written for House of Cards, this play is compelling and thought-provoking entertainment.  

Just as the 2020 political machine goes into full throttle, Primal Forces explores the underbelly of a political campaign in Warrior Class. The drama is a modern-day variation on the Faust legend set in the world of political campaigning, penned by award-winning playwright Kenneth Lin, who has also written for House of Cards. Pigs Do Fly Productions' production of The Ladies Foursome played to consistently full houses when it ran at Empire Stage last March.  The show was such a success that the company's founder and Executive Producer, Ellen Wacher decided to bring 'the ladies' back onto the golf course and let them swing their way through another round!   The show will run from October 4th through October 21st - once again at Empire Stage in Fort Lauderdale.

Keith Garsson today announced that Primal Forces has signed a deal to become the resident theater company at Sol Theatre in Boca Raton. This Primal Forces production of Communion is in the intimate setting of Empire Stage. The set and the costumes are effective and clean. The direction is surprisingly sensitive from a company that prides itself on cutting-edge shock value. The writing is intelligent, the subject matter is thought-provoking, and the acting is gripping and smart. This is definitely worth a go see, especially for a stand out performance by Kim Ostrenko.

Comedy, drama, history, and romance: Bernard Slade's Same Time Next Year, provides a fascinating - and often very funny - look at two ordinary people who grow and change over an extended period of time. The Tony and Drama Desk award-winning play will open at Stage Door Theatre on April 15th, and run through May 22nd.

Primal Forces Productions has chosen two entertaining and thought provoking pieces for its second season. The young company's successful production of David Mamet's The Anarchist in March of 2014 has encouraged producer Keith Garsson to continue its mission to 'explore the impact of the tumultuous 1960s on today's generation.' Both plays will be presented at Andrews Living Arts in Ft. Lauderdale.

The Women's Theatre Project will open their tenth season - and their second season at the Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park - with the Southeastern premiere of The Lyons, Nicky Silver's outrageously funny and stirring play about life, death, and family. The Lyons will run from December 6th through December 22nd.
